Hello, I have a little problem. Today, when I turn on my Dell laptop, a BIOS window pops up with the following warning:
Alert! The AC power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined. The battery may not charge. The system will adjust the performance to match the power available.

I have no idea what's going on, it seems as if the whole laptop was slower (In the counter strike game with 140 FPS it dropped to 6-8) ..
    Please help :/

Damaged power supply or socket - no communication, hence this information. At the beginning, replacing the power supply with another one, if the situation repeats the socket to be replaced.

And that's why my laptop's performance dropped so much? I was doing a scan today because I thought it was some kind of virus and I just got "performance problem"

I turned on the battery itself and no notification popped up. It's better in the game, but I have a mouse lag. I don't know what it's caused by. I've had the same problem before and people told me to turn off "Game DVR" in XBOX. It helped. Now I'm out of ideas :(

But just for a moment, I've already turned it off. I will check this power supply for days and write what they told me
edit: But the power supply charges me this battery

Go to Bios and check, it may not load it properly. This is also the case when using a weaker power supply (65W instead of 90W).

My power supply is just 65W
It just makes me wonder why it was only after such a long time that problems started to appear, it bothers me

Enter Bios and check if it recognizes the charger correctly.

Replace the power supply with another - more powerful one. If the problem persists and you do not have the knowledge or the appropriate tools - service.
