    Hello,

I have a new LG UH668V TV, an old LG-T255SD home theater (without HDMI and Optical) and a Cyfrowy Polsat decoder.
I would like the sound to be emitted by the home theater, not the TV's internal speakers.
Set-top box connected to TV via HDMI cable.

On the old SAMSUNGA TV everything was fine because there was an AUDIO OUT output (red / white) - below is a picture of the connectors:

There is no AUDIO OUT (chinch) output on the new TV from LG, only for headphones - below photo of the connectors:

The question for you is, is there any way to connect the Home Cinema to TV so that the sound is emitted by the cinema? If so, how to do it and will all the speakers (5.1) sound to me? Or can it give up right away and buy some new home theater with HDMI ARC?

The only thing that remains is the headphone jack on the TV connected to the cinema, the AUX IN jack or use the Optical -> Analog converter. I understand that one of these two products will do the trick:
    1. 3.5 jack - 2x cinch
Connecting LG UH668V TV to LG-T255SD Home Theater (no HDMI/Optical) with Cyfrowy Polsat Decoder
    or

    2. The converter you mentioned

I understand that the sound quality on both solutions will be the same because the sound goes in stereo and analog version? If I understand correctly, the headphone output will be a cheaper solution?

The headphone jack is a compromise and it is always the last resort. The mode you wrote about will only be stereo 2.0.
The second option is more expensive but better in terms of sound quality.

And will I only have stereo 2.0 when using the Optical-> Analog converter?
Sorry to ask but I'm green on this topic and I'd like to understand it :)

It will also be stereo 2.0 because on the converter you only have the left and right channel output ;) OUTPUT L / R.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting an LG UH668V TV to an LG-T255SD home theater system, which lacks HDMI and Optical inputs, while using a Cyfrowy Polsat decoder. The user seeks to route audio through the home theater instead of the TV's internal speakers. The only available output on the TV is a headphone jack. Two potential solutions are proposed: using a 3.5mm jack to RCA (2x cinch) cable or an Optical to Analog converter. However, both solutions will only provide stereo 2.0 sound, as the headphone output and the converter only support left and right channel outputs. The headphone jack is considered a less desirable option due to its lower sound quality compared to the converter.
