    Hello,
I have a big problem, I have one antenna cable and two Cyfrowy Polsat set-top boxes in my apartment.
I would like to connect two decoders to this cable, i.e. buy a device to which I will attach the antenna cable and to the outputs, a cable to one decoder and the other decoder, previously I bought the usual splitters of these cables but nothing worked, I would like the signal to be present at the same time in both decoders.
The set-top boxes are in other rooms and I can't pull a second antenna cable.
I am asking for help, I do not know what to buy to make it work.
    Thanks!

As far as I am not mistaken polsat has multiroom. You must have a switch. But one antenna cable is not enough for this. It is impossible to connect two tuners with one converter, it is about bias voltage, among others.

What does "twin" mean according to a colleague and how many cables do you need?

And this is what? I can provide more detailed information.

The switch enables the connection of several satellite receivers to one quadro converter. Requires 4 converter-switch cables.

Not me, just write to the author. How do you want to drive one LNB with two tuners? Hacking? Buddy, it's not on this forum. Please write to us all. HV polarity and different voltages.

    Hello.
I also have 2 set-top boxes in 2 rooms, the cable is 20 m to one, 8 m to the other, with one antenna.
The best solution is to change the converter.
As a colleague wrote, there are twin converters, i.e. those with two outputs for 2 satellite TV decoders.
There are also quad converters, i.e. with 4 outputs.
If someone has 2 set-top boxes, for example in CP - multiroom service, and both have the option of recording programs on an internal or an additional external drive and of course want to use this option, then a quad converter is recommended.
To record one channel and watch the second channel at the same time on one set-top box, you need 2 cables with the signal from the antenna.
Check what set-top boxes you have, or those with a HDD that enable recording broadcasts. The difference in the price of twin and quad bike is small, it is always better to have a development option.
    Sample quad:

Read post # 1. One wire enters the apartment from the antenna.
    Think what you are writing.

In that case, as Maxar wrote, there is something like a Multiband Converter, but the prices start from PLN 300, and you still have to pull the cables.

I don't understand anything anymore, but it is possible or not?
I cannot change the converter, only one antenna cable is pulled to my apartment and I have to make it work on both decoders.

Will Multiband Converter be suitable? Will it work? If I have to buy something, I want it to work

If you can get an additional output from the converter (2 are needed, which is what you currently have and one extra) then you buy a multiband converter.
If not: forget the second decoder.

After all, I wrote that it is impossible to use one cable from the decoder.

If you cannot pull the 2nd cable, you need to change the converter to "twin" with 2 outputs, and use the "Multiband Converter" to send the signal over one cable.

Then you mount the multiband outside the antenna.

"Multiband Converter" consists of 2 elements, one is mounted by the antenna, the other at home, as shown in the diagram above.

    OK:
    1. If I buy this unicable converter, will both decoders work?
    2. If by some miracle I would change the converter to "twin", pull 2 cables from it to "Multiband Converter" and another to the flat and connect it to the second part of "Multiband Converter" and then two more to decoders, everything will work correct?

    1. Did you provide the decoder models? What in the manual, support the unicable system?
    2. If you miraculously exchange for twins, a miracle will happen and it will work. :D
    Plus multiband.

If you replace the converter and lead it into the wires, nothing more is needed.
If multiband, 1 wire is enough. See diagram # 14. 2 only go from the converter to a small box that you can put behind the canopy or in the attic.

As far as I know, Polsat gives only one unicable decoder for multiroom and this is Evo. The second doesn't have unicable support. Unless, by some miracle, he gives you two Evos and they want to get along with one Unicable converter (I don't know, I doubt that)
    So it remains with you

I am dealing with Polsat the least. And so far I did not need such knowledge. Man learns all his life. Thanks anyway
I would like to add that the update to Unicable support took place at the end of 2016 :!:

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the challenge of connecting two Cyfrowy Polsat set-top boxes to a single antenna cable. Users suggest that a standard splitter is insufficient due to the need for separate signals for each decoder. Recommendations include using a twin LNB (Low Noise Block downconverter) or a multiband converter, which can allow multiple outputs from one cable. The unicable system is also mentioned as a viable solution, enabling the connection of multiple decoders through a single cable. However, it is emphasized that to achieve simultaneous functionality, a twin or quad converter is necessary, and the possibility of changing the existing converter is debated. The conversation highlights the importance of understanding the specific requirements of the set-top boxes and the limitations of the current setup.
