    Hello

    This error:
02845 - Indication in the instrument cluster (!)
    007 - short to ground - sporadic
02845 - Function Display in Instrument Cluster (!): Short to Ground

The error appears when I pull the handbrake, turn off the car, start it again. The P indicator lights up in orange. The brake works properly. After restarting the car, the light disappears. The instrument cluster is clean.

    Wiki answers it like this:
"When found in the [53] - Parking Brake control module on the VW Passat or VW Passat CC RoW (Rest of World) vehicles would refer to TPI 2021874 (or 2021008)".

What is it, has anyone experienced this?

Is that the electric brake? If so, one of the motors is faulty.

@Stanisław Chwalisz and why do you conclude that? The motor control is normal. The controller can probably diagnose which of the engines is already starting to fail?

I had the same thing, the indicator light came on, then it went out by itself and everything worked, but for a while. First, the right caliper fell and blocked the wheel under the house, luckily I managed to unlock it and took it to the mechanic. He replaced the terminal, but the error was still on, so he tried to clear the error, but it did not help. The next thing was the brake button after the replacement, the error was displayed again, so it turned out that the button could not be uploaded to the computer and I had to buy the entire module, which is located in the tunnel under the armrest. After this replacement everything is fine.

There are several other components in the parking brake system.

    Good question.
In your case, rather a module.
