Husqvarna CTH 130 Hydrostatic Tractor - Gearbox Creeping at -3 Temperature: Oil Thickness Impact

75max 10068 17
Best answers

Can thick oil in the hydrostatic gearbox make a Husqvarna CTH 130 creep in neutral at low temperature, and how can it be adjusted?

Creeping in neutral is more likely a hydrostatic transmission adjustment or wear problem than just the oil being thick at -3°C, and several replies suggest being cautious if the box already has issues. [#16229293] [#16230307] [#16231556] The neutral position can be adjusted, but one reply notes that getting it to stop creeping may require more than moving the lever and that you should check the gearbox model to know what adjustment is possible. [#16229340] [#16250562] The transmission plate/white sticker should identify the unit, and one reply says it is likely a Hydro-Gear model 331-0650. [#16258322] [#16258400] For oil, the gearbox plate was read as specifying 20W-50. [#16318418] [#16320596]

I am going to buy a tractor, as in the topic I was watching and one thing makes me wonder, it is difficult to set the jack of the box in such a position that the tractor does not start to creep, the temperature was -3 whether the thick oil in the box could be the cause of this situation

I am just browsing the instructions and I can see that the adjustment can be adjusted. A tractor brought from France, the price for me is 3300, it is rather attractive

Do you set the jack to the neutral position and the tractor continues to drive?

Maybe it is not quite going but you feel that it starts to creep you need to move the lever to catch the neutral

You can still deal with the brake. Any strange noises from the chest nothing buzzing? The fact that the attractive price does not mean that this box is slowly ending.

I can't hear any noises, I have to warm up the boxes yet, but at these temperatures it won't be easy

    SAE 30 oil
As for the crates, this is a factory defect, go let them replace you under warranty.

This is how I read somewhere on the farach that 10W30 is better regarding the box, the tractor is used, so the replacement is not an option

This is the same, just the other markings, travole and others have the same markings, SAE 30 is otherwise 10w30.
Creep will be difficult to adjust with the stick alone, enter the model of the box to check the possibilities of adjustment.

I have a plate, I already know that it is HYDRO GEAR, i.e. 20W50 oil, only if it can be the same as in the link below or it must be dedicated to this box

How to change the oil, I took a picture, there is a plug from the bottom of the box, but the plug is missing, so you need to remove the box to change the oil or somehow remove this plug
