    Hello,
I have a Huawei P8 for some time, my range often disappears. At one point it is maximal then to show one line or not at all. If you call someone, there is silence, sending sms works, internet also works. Someone else as he calls this phone gets information that I am unavailable and then this person gets an SMS that I am already available, etc. Very annoying dismantled tel. Nothing special can not see I wonder what it can be the fault that it works once and not once . I will add that on other phones it is normally with this sim card.

What may be the cause of mechanical damage, dirt, operating system. If someone had a similar problem, let me know. I tried various things unsuccessfully.

The service of the phone is gone I came across concrete. First, they want to fix my case for 280 PLN because it is slightly cracked at the camera and they have not even looked inside yet. I will not do anti-advertising.

What network do you have the number in? I am asking because I have a problem with the quality of calls in Orange and I have read that a sim card may be the fault. For me, this old IDEA card is over 15 years old. Although such an old card is even LTE works (although theoretically it should not but orange did it with some remote service), but it does not change the fact that the most suspected sim, which half a year ago cut to micro. I also read that new phones may have problems with old sim cards, they will only act as anomalies. I think I have to go to Orange and argue that they would exchange my card for free because they normally cancel 25 PLN. The sim card can catch errors that can be checked / deleted in the living room? If anyone is familiar with sims, please explain.

I checked the phone and it is not guilty of the quality of connections. I do not know about sim or is it true that some sims errors can worsen the quality of calls and other anomalies? I'm asking because for the first time I hear errors, I thought that if it works, the card is 100% efficient but probably not)?

Set the operator manually. Check the signal level in the settings. Set tel into GSM mode.

A crack at the camera - mechanical defect, or tel dropped on the soil, and specifically. Not always, sometimes something like that happens from keying or other rubbish carried with the phone.

Works on other phones card .. Insert a different card into the phone. You'll get Virgin for free. You can test.

You can not always see the cracks in your phone. Sometimes the card reader will go bad, sometimes February let go ... Generally, a bad fault. Difficult to locate as you can not see.

Slightly cracked housing is the glass black strap on which the camera is at the back.
I have already manually set up what you wrote, set the operator I chose 3G, etc. Somehow at some point he stopped receiving the signal at all, after opening the phone he started to "come back". The card was founded with the same different symptoms. I am currently using another phone with my sim card and it's fine. But what to do with the old one could be useful as a spare or for sale the display is in working order. Maybe it would be served with an oven> ?? Cold solders appeared somewhere

You can treat it with an oven, put it on YT and say "Huawei hot" .. Boshe ... It's a shame on the phone, but I would let it go into parts. I bet you will not fix. You do not write anything about the scheme, and the oven disqualifies you as a repairer. I would look for faults in the SIM card circuit (it seems to me the simplest solution). It is possible that the SIM card does not tighten (which I doubt), but sticking a strip would be the simplest solution. Generally, without undressing and hm .. cool down the phone, you do not get anything .. Here comes to my mind the simplest idea - dismantled phone to the freezer for some time and then check the pressure method (elements) if something happens. I'm not saying I'm right, but I would risk it.

Generally - you will not really fix it yourself. Or service and you count on costs, be hobbyistically picking or selling for parts.
Do not let tin dissolve the oven ;-) you will not blow it over. Freezer - maybe something will shrink and locate the place break - advice rather from the species unconventional :-)

With this oven it was a joke. Although if a girl will be baking a pie, why not try it. I realize that it will not be easy to just look for someone who had a similar problem and was able to locate it, not necessarily fix it. You write a sim card, i.e. a problem with it being pressed. I do not think it's going to be done without a second inspection. If I find something I will let you know.

Check the state of the sim slot, sometimes it is enough that one plate is bent and we have trouble with coverage.

That's why I suggested putting something on the card, but it's doubtful, but the easiest to check ... Well, why should it happen ... I had a case with one of the blackberry, but the card was "combined", hooked when removing. In the end, one of the sim crumbled, which is the socket for exchange. The tel was old, unprofitable repairs, unless I would fix it with sentiment.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues experienced with the Huawei P8, specifically disappearing network coverage, silent calls, and SMS/internet functionality. Users suggest potential causes including a faulty SIM card, mechanical damage, or issues with the phone's internal components. Recommendations include manually setting the network operator, checking the SIM card slot for damage, and testing with a different SIM card. Some users mention the possibility of cold solder joints or other internal faults, while others humorously suggest unconventional repair methods like using an oven. The consensus indicates that the problem may stem from the SIM card or internal hardware, and professional repair may be necessary.
