Hello. If this is the wrong department please move it.

I have a problem with the huawei p20 Lite, namely when I connect the usb board (photo below) to the main motherboard with the main tape (the black one), the gsm network disappears and writes that there is no coverage or emergency calls. The phone charges normally, when I connect to USB, the computer can see the phone, but the huawei program already has problems.

Should the USB pin connector be this color?

I'm not sure but the phone was flooded.
Please tell me what the fault may be, maybe a short circuit? Just what a short circuit.

If it was flooded, first unplug the battery, and then wash the plate in isopropanol, oraw the charging module.

But the main album too? Because so far I have washed this plate from the USB.

Wash the entire disc, not the USB connector itself.

Remember to disconnect cameras etc. Watch out for microphones.

The moisture sensors are colored very red, which means that the phone was flooded with a sticky substance because everything sticks to the plate. I put it in the bathtub and wait for the results.

    Some time later...

Unfortunately, it did not help. Such a question, the GSM module is on the usb board or the motherboard? Can the USB board or tape cause a short circuit in the motherboard, because when I connect it, the GSM network turns off.

The bottom plate has an antenna connector, so it must be connected to the range and if the signal disappears immediately after connecting the bottom plate, then some system has a short circuit.

But on the bottom plate, yes?

Yes, take the meter in your hand and measure whether any of the capacitors on the circuits are shorted

I ordered this bottom plate a new one, we'll see if it helps. I will not fumble with the old one.

Topic summary

The user reports an issue with their Huawei P20 Lite where the GSM network disappears upon connecting the USB board to the main motherboard. Despite the phone charging and being recognized by a computer, the Huawei software encounters problems. The user suspects a short circuit, especially after noting that the phone had been flooded. Responses suggest washing the entire motherboard with isopropanol, ensuring disconnection of components like cameras and microphones, and checking for shorted capacitors.
