Hello, I have a problem with CS: GO on my laptop, with the lowest graphics settings in the game, I get max 150fps, I do not have a set limit in the console. Specification of my laptop MSI GL62-6QD
    I5-6300HQ 2.30 GHz
    Nvidia GTX950M
    16GB Ramu

Graphics updates are the latest, what is the problem that I have so few fps? greetings

When did you buy a laptop? Do you still have a warranty?
    What operating system?

    Insert SMART hard disk.

Insert screen from HWiNFO program, with temperatures under load.

I bought my laptop in July 2016, a 2-year warranty. Windows 10. I've included screenshots. In general, all other games are cool and with CS, I do not have any problems, but I'm worried about the number of fps, where I had more than I have at a worse PC.

And on what tat packaging does the processor work in CS? Because what you see (and you can not see the part) is the processor that blocks you.

And what was your station? (cpu / gpu what?)

I had an AMD Athlon II, very weak compared to my lap :)

And is not it normal that you have enough and not more FPS on this card?

And the screen will not display 150 fps anyway.

150fps, little ... I'm getting fed up, as I read CS players. You have a laptop with a gtx 950m card, this is a weak graphics card, probably two times weaker, than the gtx 950 with a PC. I do not know what your plan was like when you bought the paw, but it's probably your omission. This is not a GTX 950, everything is ok

In CS, a better processor is needed, not a graph. But people ... there are no 300Hz monitors in the world! Why do you need those 150+, I have 80-200FPS with GTX970, big compartment, unfortunately I'm a bit out of sudden jump but I can play

After all, I am laughing at those who are yelling at these fps :) It is enough to have as many Hz as the monitor in my case 75 Hz

Not really, because these 60fps may be unevenly displayed. This can be seen well in games with slower action, where the display delay caused by vertical synchronization is not disturbing, like the Witcher or Watch Dogs 2. Then equal, but it equals 30 fps is much, much better than the fps jumping between 35 and 45. It depends a bit from the game and components, but the effects can be very clear. In CS: GO probably such jumps and delays in displaying individual frames are very annoying and even if the card displays 60fps and sometimes dropnie for a moment to 55 with smoke grenade, it can be quite strongly felt (even if it does not have such a big impact on statistics) . Hence the excess power needed, so that nothing would jump. I never played in CS, but I've seen it in many other games

In CS: GO, the appropriate number of FPS is calculated in this way: Hz * 2 + 1 Meaning: 60 Hz = 121 FPS, this is set as the maximum value to not bother with the generation of these 300. Therefore, for 144Hz monitors you need to have strong equipment to do not see these hops 100-150. Source 1 engine or simply CSa dynamics makes the game is not playable when blocking the FPS for 60, a real feeling of 60 frames is something around 30-40. Therefore, the optimal FPS is multiplied by 2.
However, in games on OpenGL, eg Minecraft, my computer stretches very oddly 70-1100FPS, so 1100 not 110 and this sudden jump from a thousand to 200 or 100 is very noticeable and not nice even at 60Hz, these 1040 frames must evaporate and is displayed only 60, so it's better to block FPS in such games

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around low FPS (frames per second) issues in CS:GO on an MSI GL62-6QD laptop, equipped with an Intel i5-6300HQ processor, Nvidia GTX950M graphics card, and 16GB RAM. Despite running the game on the lowest graphics settings and having no FPS limit set in the console, the user experiences a maximum of 150 FPS. Various responses suggest checking the CPU performance, potential thermal throttling, and the limitations of the GTX950M compared to desktop GPUs. Some participants note that the FPS may be adequate given the hardware, while others emphasize the importance of having a higher FPS for smoother gameplay, especially in competitive settings. The conversation also touches on the relationship between monitor refresh rates and FPS, indicating that achieving higher FPS can help mitigate frame drops during gameplay.
