I have the following problem. I started my computer and the Aero windows 7 feature suddenly doesn't work. I cannot activate it as usual
"Personalize" because all Aero system compositions are series and cannot be turned on. Trials I made:

Troubleshoot transparency and other Aero effects. It does not detect any errors.
Control Panel / System / Advanced System Settings / Visual Effects. They are all checked except the last box.
System Performance Index Refreshed. There was information that new hardware had been detected and the index needed to be refreshed. I didn't connect any new equipment to the computer.

Further no changes. Only the system recovery / restore feature that I have saved on an external drive from February 5 helps.
After restoring the system, Aero works, but the next time you start your computer, the system boots without the Aero function.

Check the graphics card driver, if the driver does not change after restarting in the device manager? Maybe the auto-update messed up something.

I put the system up and running again at the beginning of the year and turned off windows updates completely. Earlier I noticed that after a month of installing a clean system, the computer was 2 times slower and in the windows update center I had 78 updates that were downloaded but I couldn't install them. Now it's 2 months without updates. I already have all the programs installed, and I don't have to wait a minute from logging in to the appearance of the desktop and smooth operation (because the disk worked for the first minute after the appearance of the desktop) only 10 seconds. It was in "system restore" that I had on the list of backups made by the restore point system next to which it wrote: Device driver package installation: AVG Technologies network service

If the video card driver and directx are working and correctly installed, Aero will be available. You did not answer or checked the version of the graphic card drivers before and after booting the computer. Also check out directX (dxdiag) full test together with 3D.

I haven't checked. I don't even know how to check DirectX. DirectX is allegedly installed with the system, and I also installed DirectX when installing the Witcher 3. The driver version I have is Nvidia 376.09. Before the fault, I had such for 2 months and after the fault I could also run The Witcher, so they had to be. Now I can't check it anymore because I have restored the system from the February 5 backup for the tenth time. Now I was installing The Witcher 3 from scratch and it was installing very slowly. Certainly 2 times slower than before.

Press the windows key + R (run) and type "dxdiag". Wait until everything checks and go to the screen tab for errors, if not, open the device manager and check if there are no exclamation marks next to the graphics card.

If everything is ok, something is broken in the register, then:

Press the windows key + R and type "regedit"! NOTE

    Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ DWM
If there is no DWM key, right click on Windows and select New -> Key and name it "DWM".
In the right detail window, right click New -> DWORD (32 bit) Value, name it "UseMachineCheck", and set the value to 0.
In the right detail window, right click New -> DWORD (32 bit) Value, name it "Blur", and set the value to 0.
In the right detail window, right click New -> DWORD (32 bit) Value, name it "Animations", and set the value to 0.
    Close the registry.

Press the Windows key + R and type "cmd"

In the window, type "tnet stop uxsms" and Enter, then "net start uxsms" and Enter

Aero should work by now, if not, restart your computer.

If the computer is slow, check with the antivirus (Bitdefender - I personally use it and it's brilliant, the trial version is free) and then check the hard drive with HDTune (especially the health tab and if the "Status" column shows ok everywhere)

Today I started my computer now for the evening and the same thing again. There are no exclamation marks next to the graphics card, but they are higher. Adds a snip from the device manager. I will check the second method you gave me. It will scan the computer with Antivirus. Then, if nothing works, I'm going to insert the Windows disc and choose the repair option. I have a question about this activity because I haven't used it yet. Will I lose my files in Documents, Installed programs?

There are no drivers from the motherboard.

I can never guarantee you that your documents will be safe during system repair, but that also applies to system recovery. Better to keep them on the second partition.

I am not able to help you because you do not do the activities I am writing about, good luck.

    Install missing drivers first.
    Next:
Perform MBAM and ADWcleaner scans and remove anything they detect

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/
Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farbar-recovery-scan-tool/ compatible with 32-bit or 64-bit system version.
Run FRST and click "Scan". Insert the FRST and Addition report as attachments.

I did everything you wrote to me and it didn't work (filipewaw). One of the methods you wrote about creating DWORD files I have done before, but I did again as you wrote. I think I already have the culprit, something malicious. In Programs and Features, I have something called "WinSnare". I uninstall it successfully but it keeps coming back the other day and it's back in Programs and Features. Yesterday I removed it. I thoroughly scanned AVG "scan for whole computer" and "virus scan". Both detected several threats. Today I turned on my computer and Aero works, but AVG is giving me information about some files from C drive and rootkits again and this WinSnare program is back on my computer.

This infection hooks up to the desktop theme service, therefore you cannot enable aero or change your theme.

Make backups of bookmarks from Chrome, the script will delete the browser profile directory. If you are syncing Chrome settings from a google account, also delete the sync data from the account.

Do not download programs from good programs with their download manager, which installs malicious add-ons.

Next to frst.exe, create a Fixlist.txt file with the contents:

    New Fixlist.txt for FRST:
    ShellExecuteHooks: No Name - {D1CD7500-DE3D-11E6-8016-64006A5CFC23} - C: \ Users \ JA \ AppData \ Roaming \ Jevush \ Pafght.dll -> No File
    2017-02-14 16:05 - 2017-02-14 17:28 - 00000000 ____D C: \ AdwCleaner

After doing it, delete the directory C: \ FRST and that's it.
