    Hello,
I have a Huawei B315 with LTE from Tmobile.
Signal from the router without external antenna 3-4 lines LTE.
After connecting an external antenna https://all-ant.pl/pl/p/Antena-4G3G2G-L4G-MIMO%2C-2x15dBi-konfigurator-/452 with 5 m cable
    range jumps to 5 bars.
Internet speed over LAN is then approx. 95 Mb / s.
After a few minutes, one line remains from the 5 bars and the speed drops to 5 Mb / s.
The antenna "sees" the 800 Mhz transmitter from a distance of about 1 km.

After changing the position of the antenna and re-aiming it at the transmitter, the situation repeats - again 5 lines and one line after a few minutes and it stays that way.

Without an antenna, 3-4 dashes from the router itself.

Changing the settings in the router to LTE only and external antennas does not help.

From the mast I took off the old mesh antennas, below the chimney on the same mast a plate from NC + was mounted.
Under the LTE antenna (approx. 70 cm) there is a chimney outlet from the gas stove.

During subsequent attempts to catch the signal, successive dashes appeared after pointing the antenna in the opposite direction from the transmitter, after pointing it towards the transmitter, 5 dashes appeared, but after a few minutes one appeared again.

What is the cause of the signal loss?
The LTE phone works without interference, the router also receives without interference without an antenna ...

It's not an antenna, it's some kind of broadband monster. Enter the location, do you have 1 km to the BTS LTE800T-mobile? It is not possible for you to have 95Mb / s in the LTE800 T-mobile band, the operator uses 10MHz (or 5MHz) in MIMO and DL theoretically up to 75MB / s (37.5Mb / s). Such speed is possible on the unloaded LTE1800Networks BTS where there is 15Mhz bandwidth in MIMO. Nobody is interested in the range in lines. for signal diagnostics, BTs identification and LTE band forcing, the castrated B315 programs are used: http://www.lte-anbieter.info/ltewatch/count_huawei.php?Datei=ltewatch_h or https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com /u/1978345/E5186/E5186%20Toolbox_latest.rar Force LTE800 and LTE1800 in them one by one, show screenshots, do speed tests. Of course, without this monster on the router itself.

Both LTE800 T-mobile and LTE1800NetWorks work on this BTS. This broadband crap makes the B315 jump in between. Check the signal and speed parameters of LTE1800 and LTE800 with this antenna, show screenshots. These 50Mb / s in what LTE band? Force bandwidth that's faster and take advantage. Obviously you made the mistake of taking with the T-mobile B315. Due to the fact that there is LTE1800 and LTE800 on BTS, you can use the aggregation of these two bands and LTE-A. But for this purpose, you had to take the B525, i.e. a router with LTE-A. It is possible that it would be faster on LTE.

After 16. I switched the router to an external antenna. to write back to you and 5 lines of range appeared.
And it stayed that way - Wow!
    I still don't know why.

I have been closely monitoring the devices for 3 hours. Still external antenna. works fine

    Speedtests came out differently - from 25 Mb / s - 85 Mb / s

LTE Watch results were made when speedtest showed 45Mb / s download

I'll keep watching, but it looks like it's still working.
For now, thank you very much for your help so far.

You use a broadband antenna, working in LTE800 and LTE1800 and on it the router changed the bands because both of them work on the BTS. In such a situation, the key is to use LTEWatchH and force a specific LTE band. Choose the one that gives you better speeds. If you had the B525 you would benefit from LTE-A band aggregation and it would be even faster.

After speed tests, I chose the 1800 Mhz band.
Here is the measurement result (at 00:30)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a user experiencing fluctuating LTE signal strength and internet speed with a Huawei B315 router connected to an external antenna. Initially, the user reported a signal strength of 3-4 bars without the antenna, which improved to 5 bars after installation. However, the signal strength dropped to 1 bar after a few minutes, leading to a significant decrease in internet speed. Various suggestions were made, including using LTEWatchH to force specific LTE bands (LTE800 and LTE1800) for better performance. The user eventually found success by selecting the LTE1800 band, resulting in improved speed tests. The conversation highlights the importance of band selection and the limitations of the B315 router compared to the B525, which supports LTE-A band aggregation for potentially faster speeds.
