Concrete is reinforced. We need to cut a hole in the ceiling for the stairs. I wonder what shield to do it? From what I saw, reinforced concrete blades are segmented, i.e. cut, and I wonder if this cut will not break the grinder? It seemed to me that the whole shield is better, but almost all of them are cut. Any advice?

You need to look for a company making holes in reinforced concrete. Special drill bits with diamonds and special stands for making holes are used for this ... because you drill quite a long time and the drill rig must be stable.
It all depends on the wall thickness and available space.

You have to write in GOOGLE: drilling holes in .... there are offers and prices.
No power cutters ... etc / hammer forging ... /.

I would suggest to hammer sds-max, plank and splash evenly. You can pre-cut with a large flex, you will have an even outer edge.

You will not hold a grinder with a disc like that. For this purpose, cutters are pulled on wheels, which are sometimes seen during road works, when they cut patches in asphalt. There are large grinding wheels for concrete, easy to cut and reinforcement wires.

Everyone advises, no one asked for permission for such a radical change in the building structure. In another topic, there was a storm of discussions about making a trail for electrical installations / sockets. Do you (to the author) have permission to intervene in the construction, construction supervision over such work is certainly required, specialists are there and they will tell you how to do it wisely if you intend to do it yourself and whether you will get permission for it.

You are right, cocapetyl, because almost always better or worse advisors are amateurs, even if they have some construction experience, they do not know the rules determining, for example, the reception of a building - I do not lie - I am one of them.

First check how reinforced your ceiling is. You can cause part of the ceiling to collapse after cutting reinforcing bars or beams if it is a ribbed ceiling. It is also worth checking whether the edge of the cut hole will hold the stairs if their construction is to be based on it.

If you already know that you will not lead to a disaster, it's best to get to work using a drilling rig. You will not look like a miller during work and you will get high precision. The drilling rig will not even feel when it cuts the rod in concrete.

It's best to involve a constructor in design. Designers know if a notification is needed or whether a building permit will be needed. It is better not to risk without a constructor because of the possibility of building a catastrophe.

Topic summary

When cutting a hole in a reinforced concrete ceiling for stairs, it is crucial to assess the ceiling's reinforcement to avoid structural damage. Experts recommend using specialized drilling rigs with diamond drill bits for precision and stability, especially for thicker walls. Segmented blades are common, but concerns about grinder durability arise. It is advised to consult with a construction professional to ensure compliance with building regulations and to evaluate the structural integrity before proceeding with any cutting. Additionally, using a hammer sds-max and pre-cutting with a large flex can help achieve a clean edge.
