    Hello.
I need to hang a cupboard on a 5 cm thick reinforced concrete tiled wall. I am planning to hang a mounting strip on 6x30 pins. Drilling with impact is rather avoided because it ends up with the wall falling off on the other side, and in this case there are tiles too, so I don't want to risk it. Do you have any drill bits that allow you to drill effectively in reinforced concrete without impact?

I would like to add that the wall is very resistant to drilling and only SDS with pneumatic impact works well, but at the same time it damages such a thin wall (large fragments fall off on the other side of the wall).

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Regards.

A 30mm pin will be too short. The tile + glue is probably about 2 cm, then only 1 cm will enter the wall.

Hit with a hammer, but watch the depth and don't press too hard. At 2 cm, when you drill, nothing should happen on the other side - the rest can be deepened without impact.

    Hi.

For stubborn plates and thin walls I used a universal drill from BOSCH.
The drill bit has a carbide tip and is drilled without impact.

I used to read about diamond cores mounted on a contour grinder.
    Maybe it will help you.

PS. I wish you much patience

My suggestion is hammer drilling, but with a widia drill, e.g. 3 mm.

Bd. idea :) A thin drill bit with a stroke will not do such destruction - it will go into butter.
Later a patch without a thicker stroke and the patient should survive.

Beer for Lech because he abandoned a brilliant idea.
    Just watch the depth :)

Try a glass and ceramic drill bit with a tungsten carbide head. They can cope with stoneware and with reinforced concrete, they can be bought for a small amount of money in a popular network with a yellow inscription on a blue background

Any drill can handle stoneware :) I know because I do it.

Effective Drill Bits for Non-Impact Drilling in 5cm Thick Reinforced Concrete Wall

Topic summary

The discussion centers on effective drill bits for non-impact drilling in a 5 cm thick reinforced concrete wall, particularly for hanging a cupboard. Users recommend avoiding impact drilling to prevent damage to the wall and tiles. Suggestions include using a universal drill bit from Bosch with a carbide tip, diamond core bits, and tungsten carbide glass and ceramic drill bits. Some participants mention the use of thin drill bits to minimize destruction and emphasize the importance of monitoring drilling depth. The ARTU and ARTU Porc+ drill bits are also recommended for drilling in concrete without impact.
