    Good morning everyone :)

I have the following problem: I have purchased a Patriot Spark 128GB SATA3 SSD. I intend to use it as an external drive, so I also bought the Patriot Gauntlet III 2.5 "USB3.0 housing. When I connect the whole set to the computer, the housing itself is visible, but no data carrier starts. According to what the manufacturer says on the housing packaging, it should be compatible with SSDs so I don't know what to do.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?
    I'm waiting for answers :D

Have you checked various media in the housing? The drive works when connected directly to the controller in the computer?

The SSD itself, after placing it in the laptop, works and as for the case, I put the HDD in it and was normally read through it

    The Gauntlet 3 enclosure measures in at only 120mm (L) x 77mm (W) x 16.5mm (H), weighs only 100g.
    Compatible with: Windows(R) XP, Windows Vista(R), Windows, 7, Windows(R) 8, Windows(R) 8.1, Mac OS X, and Linux systems.

    Win 10 not listed ?!

    From what I remember, most of these cases (e.g. Espada FG-HU304B-1AB-BC01 / AgeStar 3UB206 with USB 3.0 / ...)
    supports only: XP 32/64-bit, Vista 32/64-bit, Windows 7 32/64-bit, Windows 8 32/64-bit

Maybe it would be worth updating the drive's firmware.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide detailed data on the disks / file formats that the housing supports.
If that helps it here there is a "datasheet" of this case:

This SSD is a product of a company from the USA> Patriot Memory (mid 2016) on the Phison PS3111-S11 controller
    - simplified ver. PS3110-S10, for DDR3 / DDR3L type DRAM
Supports Windows XP / Vista / 7/8/10, Mac OS, Linux

i.e. a problem in the firmware for the USB housing

Trying to download the software from the manufacturer's website may help
