    Hi :)
My laptop had no internet problems 2 years. Suddenly the connection broke from day to day. I thought it was a sign that it's time for format. I restored the system to its initial settings, updated the drivers, installed more important programs.
It was ok for a week.
Two days ago the net broke up again, ie: the laptop connects to the router and according to my laptop I have Internet, but when I go to any page it displays that "this site is unreachable".
    My laptop: lenovo g500
A router is an ordinary basic netia router (you can turn it off at most).
    Antivirus: basic avg

I would ask for help. And thank you for your interest in my case
Currently, I only have a telephone with the Internet (which connects to the router without any problems)

    edit:
I posted screenshots of the commands that were asked on the forums for similar problems

Have you tried connecting the laptop to the router with a cable? What effect is there after this connection?

You have contacted the Internet signal provider [Netia] as he sees your router, computer.

Still nothing. However, in this case, the lack of Internet may be caused by the "accident" that the laptop suffered about a year ago - so the socket may not work properly (I never used it either)

I did not contact Netia. Apart from me, there are two my roommates in the apartment who have no connection problems - can the supplier still have a problem?

If uninstalling the anti-virus does not help, try to start the computer in safe mode.

    In safe mode with networking.

    Was it about W10 here?
These initial settings will do nothing, since a ton of garbage installs and by default the system turns on all the spyware and sending everything you do on your computer to MS.

    Uninstalling avg helped ...
Only now I have two questions: why my avg suddenly reflected? And what antivirus should you install then? In fact, since I have been in contact with computers, I've always had avg and walked without complaint: /

    Thank you for your help!

In fact, in my opinion, Windows antivirus or Windows Defender is enough. The rest of the antivirus software just slows down laptops with weak / medium parameters too much.
If AVG suited you, then reinstall it, it is possible that reinstallation will solve the problem.

Why do you need an antivirus? The bases are outdated by at least a few weeks, and sometimes even months, the computer slows down, the default settings sucks, and if you are going to have fun, the Winodws firewall is better than most of the so-called Internet security programs - the difference is that you do not click, but if you do not know what you click, or leave the default - then you have either the same protection as without, or everything is blocked and you go for what kaman ... I do not use on the computer from 12 years of AV programs under Win, Linux and BSD .. I didn't catch anything. Reason and thinking can not replace any AV, Do not download shit, check where and what files you open. Currently, NO AV does not detect and does not protect against: cryptolokers, stealing passwords from browsers, left sites and counterfeit cookies, especially those from flashlight ...
    DECALOGUE:
    1. Delete all cookis - set so that when you turn off the browser they will delete themselves
    2. Delete the saved passwords, disable the default java support, enable security so that everything is prompted
    3. Update the system and browser on a regular basis and delete the flash
    4. Use an email program - with the option of blocking scripts (set as default) and enable showing full email addresses (then you will see that e.g. information from DPD is not from their domain, but from crypto.ru), and have email accounts on servers with encryption!
    5. Use add-ons informing about SSL status and website address, as well as add-ons that help to control scripts (e.g. noscript, ublock)
    6. Don't use P2P - there are other ways to get games and movies ;)
    7. and most importantly use a user account with a restricted password and windows defender supervision along with blocking installations and unknown programs (min. Java)
8.admin account is only used to run as ... (of course must have a password)
    9. depending on your skills, spend 2-3 hours or a day / two and completely configure the system after installation as above - or if you don't want to dumb - pay an IT specialist about PLN 250 (that's how much it costs) to do it for you.
    10. MAKE BACKUP SYSTEMS AND FILES!

Topic summary

The Lenovo G500 laptop experienced sudden internet connectivity issues despite being connected to a Netia router. After restoring the system and updating drivers, the problem persisted, showing "this site is unreachable" when attempting to access websites. Suggestions included testing a wired connection, contacting the ISP (Netia), and uninstalling AVG antivirus, which was identified as a potential cause of the connectivity problem. Following the uninstallation of AVG, the user reported improved connectivity. Discussions also included recommendations for alternative antivirus solutions, with some users advocating for Windows Defender as a sufficient option.
