Hello. I bought a mini guada for my child with an engine as on alegro http://allegro.pl/silnik-pocket-mini-quad-bike-dirt-49-ccm-kompletny-i6425833175.html. The problem is that the son will drive for about 10 minutes and the quad goes out. It cannot be fired and it cannot be pulled at all by the puller as it was blocked. I will add that the engine is very hot. When it cools down, it will fire, drive 10 minutes and again the same. Could it be a seized engine? Was it enough to replace the piston with rings, or do you need the entire engine? I am asking for advice?

Hello. most likely the piston swells, hence it cannot be fired on a hot engine. It's best if you look in the piston. What mix was made?

Do you add fuel oil in the right proportions?

We won't tell you that. Take out the motor, take off the head and see. The description may indicate that the piston swells and it just reacts when heated,

Red Stil oil is poured in a ratio of 1:50. I'm going to take my top hat off. It seems to me that the piston and cylinder will be replaced because they are seized. Fortunately, the entire set is available on the Allegro.

You can also handle the exchange. Just remember to secure the piston and tighten the head evenly.

Just as I thought. I took apart the cylinder and the top ring stuck on the piston and the scratches on the cylinder. Chinese crap. It's good that I ordered a new set, but I wonder how long it will work.

Man! What would you like for those peanuts ?! If you want something interesting, buy it loncin , also Chinese, but it costs from PLN 800 but I have heard more than once that it is better than today's B&S.
A friend has an indicator of 125 and when he presses it, the piston will swell and the engine will stop. [/ tex]

I put everything together and there is a problem. The quad travels about 10 meters and goes out. After which you need to fire it again and the same situation again. When it gets hot, it's hard to fire it or it won't fire at all until it cools down. I don't know what is. Maybe sealants?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a mini quad bike experiencing engine overheating and shutdown after approximately 10 minutes of operation. The user suspects a seized engine and inquires whether replacing the piston and rings would suffice or if a complete engine replacement is necessary. Responses suggest that the piston may be swelling due to overheating, potentially caused by improper fuel-oil mixture. The user confirms using Red Stil oil at a 1:50 ratio and plans to inspect the piston and cylinder. Upon disassembly, the user finds the top ring stuck and scratches on the cylinder, indicating damage. Further issues arise after reassembly, with the quad only traveling a short distance before stalling, leading to speculation about possible sealant problems.
