    Good morning,
I read that error E50 is a drive problem. I have tested both capacitors with a multimeter and they have the correct capacity. I hear relays working, but the motor will not spin. There are 3 white cables with a plug and one orange cable to the engine. Please write how to check if it is the fault of the motor or the module? When the engine is connected, the E50 shows after a few minutes of operation, but the engine, of course, does not spin. But when I disconnect the engine, error E50 shows up immediately after turning on.
    Thanks for all the information.

At least I am asking for info, how to connect such an engine for a short time? :-)

Check the continuity of the wires from the module to the motor + the resistance of the motor windings.

    Wire continuity OK.
    1-2 - 43?
    1-3 - 24?
    2-3 - 22?
and the fourth cable remains - orange. Its also measured against 1, 2, 3?

Hello, I answered myself, since there is resistance, it means the engine is good :-)
But I found the reason, I guess it is transistor SMD with the marking:
T43570 He gives voltage to the motor reverse relays.
I was looking, I can not find anything with such a marking, please help, maybe some replacement ... I soldered something similar, the engine started, but not for long, about 1 minute and again E50. This transistor has failed.

    Probably the triac T405-600 (4A / 600V) is sitting there: Link .

This is. Replaced with a similar one and it works. :-)
    Thanks a lot

    First of all, it's not a transistor! Only Triacs T43570 housing: DPAK 700V / 4A / AND GT - 5mA :D

That's right. I found exactly one on the module from the Siemens coffee machine. It works. Thanks

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around troubleshooting the E50 error in the Electrolux EDI97170W dryer, which indicates a drive problem. The user tested the capacitors and confirmed they are functioning correctly. They noted that the motor does not spin despite hearing relays working. Suggestions included checking the continuity of wires and the resistance of the motor windings. The user later identified a faulty SMD transistor (T43570) responsible for supplying voltage to the motor's reverse relays. After replacing it with a similar triac (T405-600), the dryer operated correctly. The conversation clarified that the component in question is a triac, not a transistor, and the user successfully sourced a replacement from a Siemens coffee machine module.
