I bought a used Nivon 830 espresso machine when buying, I was checking if it works correctly making one latte coffee. At home I wanted to make two one by one and it is impossible. The first comes out and the second milk sprays in all directions and does not foam. Just a little. After trying again after half an hour the history repeated itself the first coffee came out Oki with frothed milk and the second unfortunately not. I wonder what is wrong.

The machine defends itself, wants to make coffee less often, and seriously in my spare time I look thanks for the hint. I need a Nivon 830 parts catalog

The reason for the failure was the valve that hung, just undress clean attached photos

Hello. I wrote about this valve. If the situation reoccurs soon, or rather so is the valve to be replaced. Greetings.

How to disassemble the casing ??? Maybe some pictures or instructions? I saw the file in German but there is not exactly how to disassemble the case ... please guidance

Added after 3 [hours] 33 [minutes]:

I disassembled the whole machine, I cleaned all the tubes, I also disassembled the valve, etc. ... unfortunately I still do not froth milk, but pour and heat it? All the other functions are impeccable ... could it be some electronics with a feler ... or you can replace the valve yourself?

Hello. If the milk is drawn, i.e. the steam pressure seems to be ok. The reason for the lack of foaming is most likely the cappuccinator in the spout itself, please clean thoroughly and check, most likely no aeration of the milk during foaming. greetings

    Hello!
I will hook up on the topic not to create a new one. I have Nivona 830. The milk is heated and only a minimal amount of foam, so it practically does not foam. The milk is drawn in and hot. I checked the valve, cleaned it and seems to be ok. After turning on the foaming, a hissing sound is heard and some water is poured into the tray. When the milk comes out, you can see a lot of steam. Spumatore cleaned, unobstructed and no damage visible. Please answer the following questions:
    - the milk spumator, apart from milk, has 2 channels from above. One is probably a pair and the other? Air? If so, should there be any check valves on them or should they be open in both directions. Which is which?
    - how to check the spumator itself? It has 2 holes from the top, one from the side and one from the bottom. Should all these entrances / exits be open in both directions? Doesn't have any check valve?

Thank you in advance for your answer.

    Greetings!

Approx. Questions no longer valid. Cleaning the valves helped.

Which valves did you clean? I clean the valve as a friend above took pictures, but it does nothing. Exchange?

In your place I would mention first of all the charge in the valve. Conical rubber alone, although it looks good, does not always fulfill its task. The second thing is the valve / hole / aeration. Located on a ceramic valve. This is the element in the attached picture. Remove this white plastic cap slightly pry up and there is rubber under it. This gum has a small hole. The rubber can be removed. Take a pin or needle and gently push the hole. It happens that it is clogged with some small pollen and if it cannot draw in air it will not air the milk.

The valve will buy a whole new one. And this "hat" has one broken leg for me. He only holds two and I can't get it anywhere.

Do you have that hole in this rubber patency? Maybe someone tried to look at it and broke it off. The broken leg should not have any effect because it only protects the rubber. In fact, there is nothing more than a valve, vent and spumator. If these 3 things are unobstructed, it should be ok. If it has a problem with taking the right amount of milk, it is probably a valve, if it draws milk, but it is not foamed, it is rather a lack of air supply, i.e. this aerator or spumator. Friends rushed to these espresso machines in Germany and all they brought me had to replace these rubbers in the boiler valves. Apparently everything was ok, but the valves did not hold. After the exchange it returned to normal. Only one was blocked in this aeration.

I have a similar problem - milk flies but not frothed.
I checked both mentioned valves, they look OK.
The one that is in the pictures in post # 6 was not long ago exchanged for a new one on the site, and probably since then I have not even checked whether it is frothing milk because I drink black every day.

This rubber element in the spout to which the milk hose is connected has 2 connections from above.
What's the smaller one on the right for?
Steam is coming from this large cone.

How is hot milk delivered and how is frothing?

I had a problem with foaming, after unfolding and cleaning the valve from post # 6 it still did not work, the valve seemed fine. I ordered the valve, replaced it and now I enjoy cappuccino again. Cost PLN 57 including delivery. Thank you for the advice.
    greetings

Also at my place there was a problem with it splashing steam and barely pulling. In my 830 and at my parents 855, I started at my place. I bought this non-return valve and the milk flies like crazy. I also replaced the drain, but unnecessarily. I did the same thing at my parents' house. The valve itself was worth £34 original on a popular auction site + tablets to get smart and the coffee machine was as good as new. It turned out that someone once glued the ceramic valve head with hot glue (they bought a used one). Here is a photo of the culprit of the milk mix-up and you can find it by searching for the phrase "NIVONA non-return outlet valve 65411".

    Hello all
I, too, had an identical problem with splashing milk, which was done very little when it comes to foam.
    I actually did 3 things:
1 I just disassembled the black valve mentioned in the above posts and cleaned it.
    2. I took off the white cap mentioned also in the posts above, took out the rubber with the cone and cleaned a small hole in it - I think it was clogged.
    3. I descaled the system with a higher concentration of descaler
After these activities I made a few lattes and cappuccinos and frothed milk like in the old days, which is great !!!
I will observe how it will continue because I have read that these activities did not bring long results for some people. If that happened, the first thing would probably be to replace the black valve with a new one.
    greetings

hello, i have the same problem. I bought a used coffee machine and the seller made coffee, at home one came out with froth and the next sprays milk. With warm milk, it sprinkles and pours 100ml, and it is supposed to deliver 220ml. Was it possible to diagnose what is the cause?

    greetings, Maciej

I have a similar problem with my Nivona 758 coffee machine - it doesn't froth milk well, just splashes. I already checked the non-return valve, took it apart and it looked fine, but eventually replaced it with a new one. In addition, I used a needle to push the hole in the ceramic valve plate from post #20 and #12 (not sure if anything more can be done with it).
I have the impression that it is minimally better, but in general the milk continues to splash (especially in the frothed milk part, in the warm milk part there is no splashing). Can the ceramic valve be cleaned better, if so, how?
What else can be checked? In the pictures I have marked the hole that was cleaned and the replaced valve.

No one has helped, in which case I'll answer it myself, maybe it will be useful to others. Turns out it's a common problem, and you can't find the answer on the forum. The problem turned out to be the aerator, the gasket, sheet metal and plastic cap had to be replaced. The old plate was not fitting tightly to the gasket and too much air was getting underneath. Punching holes in the plate and the like did not help. I am enclosing a photo of the parts mentioned - part numbers 6760015 / 6761179.
Two aerator parts: a gasket and a plastic cap. .

I had the same problem. Everything great, I cleaned it, it improved. I ordered an aerator gasket with this sheet metal because it's not money, and I'll sleep better. One thing just doesn't give me peace of mind. There are two hoses going into the frother head from the ceramic valve manifold: red - steam and white - air. Is something supposed to blow from the white one, or does it work on the principle of vacuum, that when the coffee machine feeds steam, the head selects air with it?

For me, unfortunately, the milk frothing problem keeps coming back. Sometimes it froths correctly, and sometimes when frothing more milk it froths well at the beginning and then starts to splash halfway through.

    So far:
    - I have replaced the non-return valve
    - Replaced the aerator
    - I took the ceramic valve apart, cleaned it inside, lubricated it and screwed it together again

    Next I intend to:
    - Replace the ceramic valve gasket, maybe it is letting through
    - I noticed that the ceramic valve screws loosen over time and I tighten them every time I dismantle the coffee machine (a quarter turn every 2 weeks (several coffees)) - I want to use thread glue

    Any comments welcome.

I took the next step - replaced the gasket in the ceramic valve and still no change, at first the milk is frothing fine but at 150ml it starts to splash.

    So far:
    - I have replaced the non-return valve
    - Replaced the aerator
    - I took the ceramic valve apart, cleaned the inside, lubricated and screwed it together again
    - Replaced the ceramic valve gasket

Plugging the aerator with my finger while frothing the milk fixes the splashing (the aerator is new and the hole in the plate is unobstructed). Where else can I look for the cause?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with the Nivona 830 espresso machine, specifically the inability to froth milk consistently when making lattes. Users report that while the first latte produces frothed milk, subsequent attempts result in milk spraying without proper foaming. Common troubleshooting steps include checking and cleaning the valve between the boiler and the cappuccinator, as well as inspecting the aeration system for blockages. Several users suggest that a malfunctioning valve or clogged aeration holes may be the root cause. Recommendations include disassembling the machine for cleaning, replacing faulty components, and ensuring proper airflow through the cappuccinator. Some users successfully resolved their issues by replacing the valve or cleaning specific parts, leading to restored frothing capabilities.
