Hello! I have a clio 2 1.2 16V, and the topic is apparently quite well known, leaking from the gear selector. I have a question, does it pay to fix it? A "kit" has appeared on the well-known auction site to repair this problem. It used to be available only on the French market. After reading several reviews after a few thousand kilometers, the problem returns again. Is there a good way to seal this selector? Anyone have any more experience in this area? Regards

It probably leaks due to the wear of the shaft on which the seal runs. If you do not want to invest in a car fill the engine oil in the gearbox - the leak will not disappear, but it will be significantly reduced.

I probably won't use it, a 90 PLN kit is a better solution. You can also change the sealant, but apparently it will be liquid again after some time.

For posterity, after about 20,000 km there was a shortage of 150ml oil in the chest. Subject I analyzed, repair is unprofitable after some time the problem will return. The febi repair kit costs PLN 40, a friend assumed it and after a while it flies again, I don't move yet. Regards
