There are several varieties of HP laptops on the market, these are the models:
- 8560p
- 6470b
- 8470p
- 8460p

These laptops have different matrices:

- 1366x768
- 1600x900
and from time to time you can see the same modem with 1920x1080 on the market

The question is:

Is it possible to mount a 1600x900 or full HD matrix from the same model on a laptop with the current 1366x768 matrix and will it work?

I did not carry out such a change in these laptops and in a little older and 4 out of 5 cases were successful. However, you may have asked the question in the wrong department. Ask the moderator to transfer to laptops, there are several colleagues who have such matters at their fingertips and for sure someone did it. Often real masters of a given field only read their department and if the question does not go where it should not get the answer.

I have already reported that I would like to be transferred. Returning to the topic, if such an option was possible, I would be happy. The only problem in this whole operation is that laptops with a resolution of 1600x900 or even 1920x1080 have an ATI card on board and those models with a resolution of 1366x768 only IntelHD.

- how many channels of the LVDS / * connector a better solution is the eDP on the disc is used

... producers get up better chap. matrices, above 1366x786

It has been written several times in this forum about the problems of swapping matrixes and ribbon.

I will add at the end such small info:
In HP8470p, the 1600x900 matrix tape has two more pins like the 1366x768 matrix.
The cube fits, but there are two pins less so it could be a problem connecting and adapting another screen.
