I bought a belt grinder from Lidl - Parkside last year. Today I used it for the first time and the drive belt lost my teeth. The work lasted about 15 minutes without major breaks. The belt drive wheel has become quite hot and this probably caused the teeth on the belt to be damaged?
The question is, do these grinders have that? Do you have to take more frequent breaks?
Maybe I was pressing the sander too hard?

If I had to shoot, I would bet on this option. In the case of this type of equipment, in principle, the weight of the device ensures proper pressure. There is no point in increasing it.
I worked with a lidl grinder (I don't remember the model, but some of the same) and it was easy to slip the tape, and the device was not very tight and dust was collecting inside. The course of the tape was adjusted with a screw on one of the rollers.

There is a guarantee in Lidl, but they don't repair only if there is an assortment or a refund.

I think I came across a sluggish model. Exchanged.
