    Hello,
I am the owner of the Golf Plus from 2006, 1.9 Tdi Bxe engine. I have been fighting a repetitive fault for half a year. Some time after I bought the car, I noticed that the engine was slowly jerking at low speed. The diagnosis was quick to replace the camshaft (I would add that it was badly worn), bearing shells, pushers and etc. After replacement, I receive the car from the mechanic and here the surprise story repeats. So I am going back to the mechanic's workshop that said two pump injectors too large dose adjustments. All pump injection went into regeneration ... It was this repair that was temporarily calm, the car drove and burned like gold throughout the winter. However, spring came and I noticed that at 10 degrees the engine runs correctly but as soon as it gets warm about 20 degrees, the engine runs unevenly and jerks at low speed ... While driving, everything is fine. And to finish me off, I recently received the message "emission workshop" I thought the egr is dirty, I cleared it, I deleted errors - the error returned, unfortunately. I am asking for some professional diagnosis and advice because so far the mechanics are spreading their hands.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The engine control lamp lights up and a message appears on the display when the ignition is switched on (emission workshop)

What mechanics do you have when the 1.9 TDI spread their hands?
What did the computer diagnosis show, real-time data?

Dude, you probably have bad luck - it's a BXE engine that has already been written so many unflattering opinions. Check if your engine was produced among those faulty ones, whose "problems" have been described quite extensively on forums and in specialist automotive magazines.

You have a guarantee, take the car and let it check if the injection pumps are good (you will get prints from the machine), you will pay only for checking. From what I associate only the lower part of the injection pump is subject to regeneration. What was the regeneration like? What did they exchange? No wonder, these engines are wrapped in a bad reputation.

Hello, or determined what was the cause of uneven work, I have the same topic.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a 2006 Golf Plus equipped with a 1.9 TDI BXE engine experiencing engine jerking at low speeds and an "emission workshop" warning. The owner has faced persistent issues despite multiple repairs, including camshaft replacement and adjustments to the injection pumps. The engine runs smoothly in colder temperatures but exhibits uneven performance as it warms up. Participants in the forum inquire about error codes, computer diagnostics, and the reputation of the BXE engine, suggesting that the owner should verify the condition of the injection pumps and consider the history of the engine model regarding known faults.
