    Hello,
In an unfortunate accident, I poured a large amount of water on the table, my laptop was lying on the table, and therefore it was flooded from the bottom. I disconnected it from the net and wiped the entire underside. I didn't turn it on all day, wanting it to dry. However, after this time, wanting to check if it works, I tried to turn it on (with and without the charger), but the laptop does not respond in any way. I would like to add that this is ASUS, from which you cannot remove the battery yourself, so it stayed inside ... Please let me know what could have happened and whether there is a chance to repair the computer.
    greetings

Call the fortune teller it will tell you :) Return the laptop to the appropriate service that will diagnose the fault.

Well, what kind of advice do you expect?
Normally, such equipment is dismantled, all power removed, and the motherboard is washed with isopropyl alcohol, sometimes with distilled water, and then again with alcohol. Sometimes it dries thoroughly for two or three days. It should be ensured that the water does not get into the BGA systems best. Then it checks if it worked. Such activities can be taken in amateur home conditions, as you know how to disassemble a laptop without damaging it.
My cousin gave the equipment to the service, which he asked for PLN 1000 for replacing the motherboard, he came to me, although he does not service laptops, he was rescued in this way and has been working for three years. My daughter did the same a year ago. :(
And now the question is, did you expect such an answer? Contrary to appearances, these are not simple activities, this equipment has to be assembled, it is a very delicate and precise work, time-consuming. ;) If you have never done it, and I think not, and you don't have anyone who knows what it is doing, then, as a colleague wrote above, the website.

I am not going to do it myself, because I have absolutely no idea about such things. I meant more about whether there is a chance to salvage the laptop at all. It seems to me that she had a rather small amount of water in contact with the laptop, and on its bottom, apart from the fan openings, there are no others. I also do not know if it is possible that if now the laptop does not show "any signs of life" then it will suddenly start up after such cleaning. It also seems to me that the computer could have a defect when it comes to the cooling system, because before that, twice, I had a situation where the computer worked properly, and the next day it was impossible to restart it the next day (there were also no signs of life, even while connecting the AC adapter). I then gave it to the service (it was still under warranty) and in the description after the review I saw that the cooling system was only cleaned and nothing else, and the laptop worked fine (after 2 months the story repeated and it was sent to the service again, where they did all action and it worked until the day before yesterday). Thanks for the previous answer

It may not be a flooding effect, but a recurring previous fault. If it is under warranty, give it back, do not say anything about flooding, so as not to suggest a response from the website.

It is no longer under warranty, it expired at the end of March :( Not only that, when I had it serviced earlier (when it was under warranty), after the first inspection, "nice gentleman in the department" informed me that the computer looked flooded .. but I knew that it did not happen and after an in-depth analysis, they found that after all no. But the first suggested answer is the flooding ... I can see that whatever happens they always put the same thing first.

No one knows this. But it's probably worth a try.
