    Hello.
I have a HTC 825 that does not read the SIM card, after dismantling it turned out that the SIM reader has all the contacts, because you can see them from the other side and there is a reaction after inserting the SIM card, because I write that the SIM card is inserted but it says NO SERVICE all the time. The range is crossed all the time.

Reset did not help, anyone can advise something? I would replace the sim reader, but it's hard to get.

Start by uploading the software, maybe the IMEI is blocked.

I have already made the IMEI at the beginning and it's OK

I switched the SIM2 connector, because it is not used anyway and still the same. When I put a sim card on an activated phone, he writes to configure the phone and select Orange, after selecting it he writes that ALARM ONLY and after a while NO SERVICE.

You think it's soft? The client said that he inserted the card without the tray and after that it supposedly happened, but a functional sim reader did not help.
    Possibly what to upload soft?

Soft did not help, the range is still crossed out, but when I insert the card, the inscription changes from INSERT CARD to NO SERVICE.

I'm not suggesting anything, but the phone looks like bricked (broken) by the network operator (report about theft, loss, for example). Maybe the customer is going this way? that you change the imei and the phone starts?

Or taken in Plus and blocked because they did not pay installments. I'll try to find out.

Topic summary

The HTC 825 is experiencing a persistent "NO SERVICE" issue despite recognizing the SIM card. The user has confirmed that the IMEI is functional and has attempted to switch the SIM2 connector without success. After inserting a SIM card from a working phone, the device prompts for configuration but ultimately displays "NO SERVICE." There are suggestions that the phone may be network-locked or bricked due to issues such as theft reports or unpaid installments. Attempts to upload software have not resolved the problem, and the user is considering replacing the SIM reader, which is difficult to obtain.
