Hello. I can't connect to the printer, so I'm doing everything like here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmen2qD60m0 and nothing. I have an ip printer, but I don't know if I don't start at all ** I bought a c253 network printer and I do it like a video, but maybe you need to configure the device first? I didn't get any instructions .... and it's Saturday and I need a scanner yesterday ... I thought with a cable ... but I didn't even get any cable except power supply ...? How to connect it ... maybe I need to configure the photocopier for router first? can someone explain this to me in a pathological way?

You connect the copier to the router (or directly to the computer with a cross cable).
You set the ip on the printer, then the ip on the computer, enter the ip address from the computer to the copier and configure the scanner.

    Briefly.

The socket is hidden under a plastic (such as opening half-round flap on latches on the right side of the device) behind the duplex module.

As a colleague wrote - the RJ45 (network) socket and USB socket can be found under the closed flap on the right side of the machine. The next step is to check your network for IP numbering. To do this, type on the computer in the search or in the Run cmd command and a DOS window with a command line will open. Then enter the ipconfig command in this box so that you can check the network information. You will have, among other things, the computer's IP address, router address, mask, etc. If, for example, your computer has the address 192.168.0.34, you already know that the machine will also have to have the address from the same series entered only with a different ending. I usually enter addresses from the end of the pool, in which case I would give the machine an address, e.g. 192.168.0.230. You also need to note the network mask and you can note the gateway (router) address as you like. With this information, you connect the machine to the router with a network cable and in the Counter Tools select the administrator settings. The default password is 12345678. Then select the network settings and enter the IP address, mask and IP in v4 and you can enter the gateway according to the data read. You approve everything and wait for the machine to process this data and probably ask you to re-enable. When you do everything you can sit down to your computer and in the browser in the bar where you enter the page enter the machine's IP. If you have done everything right, the configuration page should be displayed. The next step is to download the appropriate driver from the KM website in the PCL or PS version. Then in Devices and Printers you click add a printer and choose the best local option with manual settings. In the field where you have to specify the printer port, click "add port" and select the TCP / IP standard. In the port number you enter the same IP as you gave the machine. , when you ask for the network card you do not change anything, click OK and in the place where you set the driver you show the installation from the disk and indicate the folder with the downloaded driver. The computer will install the printer for you and then you can check the installation by printing a test page. If everything is ok then we go further. Create a folder on disk C, e.g. a scan. Right click on it and enter properties. Choose sharing. Click share and in the window with the list of authorized persons add the user Everyone and then give it Read Read Write and it's ready. Now find the Network and Sharing Center at the bottom. Go there and in the current profile set Password protected sharing to off. In Win 8.1 / 10 find All Networks and do the same there - password protected sharing must be turned off! You can create a shortcut to a folder on your desktop. Then you go through the browser to the machine page by entering its IP in the address bar. Find the address book and click new registration. In the name field - enter what is to be written on the scanning key on the machine's desktop, leave the serial number as it is, select Main to display on the main window. Select the host name and enter the full computer name in CAPITAL LETTERS (you can read it from the system properties) and in the path enter the name of the shared folder and confirm :) The item will be added and an icon will appear on the panel after pressing the scanner / fax button.
Phew, I can't do it more blatantly!

Thank you very much for your interest and for such an accurate description I meant it. :)

Added after 1 [hours] 16 [minutes]:

The last question, everything works according to the instructions given by the copyman, but can you now disconnect the rj45 cable from the router and connect it to the laptop for scans ?? because when I disconnect it doesn't work :D :? I know I know ..... but I don't know black magic. :D

It doesn't work because probably the laptop is flashing over wi-fi or cable but over DHCP. It just means that the laptop's IP address automatically gives it a router. All you have to do is set a fixed IP address and a mask on your laptop just like you did on the machine. Simply connecting the machine with a network cable to a laptop will do nothing. If you're using wi-fi, it's best to turn off this connection on your laptop, plug in the network cable and if your laptop rebels about the lack of internet connection, get on this connection and then configure the network card in the IP v4 range. Don't forget to give a different IP tip to your laptop than to your machine! If you set e.g. 192.168.0.230 there, then set e.g. 192.168.0.220 on the laptop. Interestingly, even such a laptop will work connected to the router and gain access to the Internet :) You would only need to set the DNS address e.g. to Google 8.8.8.8

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around connecting a Konica Minolta bizhub C253 network printer to a computer. The user is struggling with the initial setup, particularly with locating the RJ45 socket, which is hidden under a flap on the right side of the device. To establish a connection, the printer must be connected to a router or directly to a computer using a network cable. Users are advised to configure the printer's IP address to match the network's IP range, ensuring it differs from the computer's IP. Additionally, when switching the connection from the router to a laptop, the laptop's IP settings must be manually configured to avoid DHCP conflicts. The conversation includes troubleshooting tips for ensuring successful scanning and network connectivity.
