I decided it was time to take over the work computer and reinstall the system with the SSD drive. Over the weekend, with a pendrive, I installed 10 version 1709 all the updates and happy that the computer runs like new on Monday I installed it in the robot. I have made catalogs available as standard (all of them are available on the network with full access without a password). In KM I have long configured scanning via SMB for computers and everything was flickering and here is an unpleasant surprise. The machine signals "server connection error". I have read that Microsoft has turned off SMB 1 since version 1709 - I turned on the firewall, turned off all ports related to SMB and nothing the same error. I have all the computers in the company for 10 and now I am afraid that if one is "exactly" updated, the users will lose the ability to scan to their computers. The technician who serviced the machines said that there was a problem with the client and he managed to install scanning to ftp. In the machine (I have 2 c253) in the network settings I changed the SMB settings to the SMB1 / SMB2 version and nothing. My hands drop because I have run out of ideas.
    Maybe colleagues have some ideas?

How much hair fell out and did not come back.
Having decided to save the remnants of the bulbs, Home FTP was installed, an account in c253 was added, a folder was created on the desktop.
    It works.

It starts and immediately hides in the tray (configuration).

Once I was able to start SMB, but after resetting the router, windows somehow decided to change the network from home to public and SMB fell again. I gave up on this pseudo-intelligent system.

First of all - you shared the folder ... With full permissions for the Everyone group? Second - Network and Sharing Center ... Do you have reading sharing for all network users and have you turned off password protected sharing? Thirdly - you set the system anew ... Did the computer name not change after this procedure? Of course, it assumes that you have made exceptions in the firewall and you have a properly configured antivirus.

Exactly everything according to the rules. I have 30 accounts configured for scanning via SMB on my machines (I manage 80 computers). As I wrote until Friday, everything worked and after the re-installation of the system, the machine does not scan - everything is available - network computers can see the directory and can write, delete and open it.

From what I have learned, you need to install SMB support version one for Windows.

I did all this and nothing worked but I found a solution:
enter CMD as an administrator, stand in the root directory "c: \" and run the following command:

    "dism / online / get-features / format: table | find" SMB1 "
    SMB1Protocol | Enabled
    SMB1Protocol-Client | Enabled
    SMB1Protocol-Server | Enabled
    SMB1Protocol-Deprecation | Enabled "

We will get information about which protocols are enabled / disabled (I have SMB1Protocol-Client turned off although I turned it on in the programs)
after that I executed the command
    "dism / online / enable-feature / featurename: SMB1Protocol-Client"

The system asks to reboot and we are happy to be able to scan to the directory after SMB 1.0

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues faced when configuring the Konica Minolta c253 for SMB scanning after reinstalling Windows 10 version 1709. The user encountered a "server connection error" despite having previously set up SMB scanning successfully. It was noted that Windows 10 version 1709 disables SMB 1.0 by default, which is necessary for the c253 to function correctly. Various troubleshooting steps were suggested, including ensuring proper folder sharing permissions, checking firewall settings, and enabling SMB 1.0 support through Windows features. Ultimately, the solution involved using the command line to enable the SMB1Protocol-Client, which resolved the scanning issue.
