I have installed Faac 414 actuators. I have closing and opening limiters.
I have a question about programming because I don't know if I understood it correctly.
I turn on the advanced programming, leaf 1 opens a bit before the limiter, I press the button to release it. And now my question: should I stop the wing with the button as soon as it touches the stop or wait 1-2 seconds? Similarly, should we wait some time when closing, or immediately? I am worried about the lifetime of the actuators and hence my question.
Thank you in advance for your help.
    Regards, CIKO

Generally, the actuators HAVE to work briefly on the blockade - that is, the actuator reaches the stop, growls for about 2-4 seconds and only turns off - this operation is normal for 230V actuators - this time on the blockade is a reserve for more difficult conditions (in summer the gate is slightly in winter, strong winds or when a little ore hits the hinge - less); it could happen that at higher resistances, the actuators would not reach the bumpers.
More details - each copy is a bit different, but in this set it is extremely hard to shoot at these 2-4 seconds of reserve - everything is not very repeatable and precise (i.e. you set it and then it turns out that the times are about 2-3 seconds longer). Usually you need to slow down only about 10 cm from the fenders and stop JUST before touching the wing to the fender and it will come out quite well.
I manage to set the times decently within 2-5 attempts (you may be fully satisfied with 10 ...)
PS. You start the setting with the gate absolutely CLOSED - the lamp is not blinking, the control unit is at rest, the LED or display indications indicate that the leaves are closed. If the wings do not want to reach the bumper at the beginning - bring them to installments, if the air handling unit has closed and it does not want to turn off - wait calmly for the actuators to explode (it may take 20 seconds - they will be fine) and the SAMA unit will turn off.
If you have a 455 control panel - after setting, it is necessary to scroll through the entire basic menu to the gate status position, because it will not remember it. With 452 LED DL10 it is obligatory to stop flashing.
