However, a brand new HDD, and a particular SSD, should be activated initially, i.e. connect it as a second to the System and in the tab ->
Disk Management set a partition on it (quick format), and then delete this partition using the same Tool.
There is no need to worry about the fact that the new "system" will take up the whole HDD, because immediately after installing the System you can reuse the above mentioned Tools ->
Disk Management and reduce the size (it works from Windows VISTA and with any subsequent System) - the only - partition with the System, and from what is left, after reducing, create another partition.
The assignment of a partition letter can also be easily changed - apart from the system one - with the same Tools mentioned above.
