Hello, I have a question - I bought a SAT meter occasionally. I want to set up the antenna for digital polsat and I do not know how to set all options so that the reception is ok - I can't tune HD channels at the moment. I'm setting up the HotBird 13E satellite and I don't know what exactly to choose in the LNB frequency? Currently, I have chosen Universal [9750-10600]. And I can't get into good quality.

I will add that I have two transponders selected by default -

    12188 V 27500
    11158 V 27500

    Does it have DVB-S2 measurement?

Freesat V8 meter - not very popular, but I can do it. MER, unfortunately, does not show. I selected transponders that support stations in HD [checked in the net] and set the plate, unfortunately still a problem at the bottom - on the meter the programs receive on the roof and in the apartment, and on the first installation of the decoder the signal strength - 0. The best is that I took another decoder from neighbor - and here 80% strength and quality, but after searching the channels it displays info

"This channel ..." means there is no permission on the card. Since another decoder is working, the antenna is working. Don't you have ESI-88? It will not show the signal because it has outdated basic tp parameters. And the curiosity, despite the lack of signal on the indicator, will search for channels.

    Which?

Restore factory settings (unless the ESI-88 does nothing).

On all channels? The card has current permissions?

The decoder is ESI-88. On it, I can't search for other channels except for encoded polsat, because it has a preset frequency and is after factory settings - the screen displays only the first installation, I can't even enter MENU. What to do in this case? Search despite the fact that it does not display the signal ??

Roof settings can distort the installation. After setting the "top" connect the meter directly after the tuner and see what it shows you because maybe the fault lies on the cable side

What others The decoder is designed for pay TV services.

I noticed due to the fact that the frequency is fixed at the installation. At the neighbor decoder [Mini HD] it searches for all channels - also uncoded.
In that case, I think the topic is closed, a matter of decoder, I will try. Thanks for all the answers. Greetings.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around setting up a FreeSat V8 meter and antenna for receiving Cyfrowy Polsat channels via the HotBird 13E satellite. The user is experiencing difficulties tuning HD channels and achieving good signal quality. Initial settings include a Universal LNB frequency of 9750-10600 and two transponders: 12188 V 27500 and 11158 V 27500. Responses suggest checking the model's capabilities, particularly if it supports DVB-S2 measurement, and verifying the decoder's settings, as the ESI-88 model may have limitations. It is recommended to connect the meter directly to the tuner to isolate potential cable issues. Ultimately, the user concludes that the problem may lie with the decoder itself, as a neighbor's Mini HD decoder successfully searches for all channels.
