    Hello
Not many topics with soda, I have the following problem: the water in the bottle is slightly gassing, the new gas cartridge seems to be flying, but the water is not sparkling.
Someone may be taking the device apart and knows where to fumble?

Maybe a cylinder filled with air, not CO2?

Hello, did you do it ??? I have the same problem, I am counting on help :-)

Hello. First, weigh the cylinders. Empty is about 760g. Gas comes in less than 500g. You can take out the cylinders, turn the valve downwards and push the valve, just with something long so as not to burn your hands. There should be "snow", or CO2, and the entire cylinder will be immediately cold. If it just hisses without "snow", it means that there is only air in the cylinder.

I know it all :-) I load cylinders from a large CO2 cylinder, everything worked fine, and now it is slightly gassing, I don't know if something happened? whether to take it apart, there is little about it on the web, maybe some diagrams, videos :-)

If there is no tightness at the junction of the bottle with the seal, adequate pressure will not be built up and CO2 will not mix with the water. The effect is that it's gurgling like furious, but the water doesn't get saturated with CO2.

I will join the topic, does any of you have sodastream valves? The one at the head with a silver inside, possibly with something else that can be replaced, I was looking for on the net but the lack of any results, apparently only this vent broke ??

    Regards

    someone solved this problem ????
After half a year of use, it gasses very slightly
the button on the dispenser is pushed strangely shallowly
it takes a long time to gas and the water has little gas, I replaced it with a new cartridge and the same
is there any service or someone has a way what could have happened ????

Today, after two years of use, the same problem with weakly carbonated water has occurred. It was the bleed valve that did not close properly and gas was escaping through it during use. Unfortunately, I was unable to open it and did not want to damage it. Luckily, it started working properly so I put it back on.

after 14 days from the complaint, they exchanged for a new one without any problems and sent by courier plus I got one plastic bottle for free

Hello. I coped with the poprust, I twisted the nuts with a spring. And I just plugged the top cap by inserting a piece of plastic inside and turned it on. And it works, and I even have the impression that the water is gassing better now.

Hello, I bought a Brita stream soda in Germany and the gas escapes and is punctured. The manual says that the gasket does not stick. Unfortunately, I lost my receipt and I cannot return it, how to repair the seal?

The reason may also be a clogged/dirty saturator nozzle. One of the symptoms is gas coming out for a few seconds (through this nozzle), despite releasing the saturation button. It happened to my equipment. Unfortunately, I can't find the saturator nozzle itself, there are only gaskets available. I will write to the manufacturer for availability.

I gave up on the subject and bought a second siphon and here, in turn, after some time after gassing the water, the valve does not cut off the gas, after releasing the button, the gas is constantly bubbling through the nozzle, when I disconnect the cylinder and connect it, it holds but after gassing it does not close, bad luck I have some :)

Welcome everyone, I have the same thing that even though I press the button 5-6 times, the water is slightly carbonated, but I noticed that if I press hard, there is such a geyser in the bottle that the water runs down it. Is this connection between the bottle and the saturator at the time of carbonation supposed to be tight like with a closed cork? I thought that this small leak was so that the bottle would not burst. So do I need to replace the gasket? Where to purchase such a thing?

I will refresh the topic a little . Patient sodastream Duo new cartridge but water poorly gassed . After pressing twice it starts dropping through the safety valve how to block it or replace it with a working one and where is it located ?

There's a video on YT of some American guy putting alu foil in there or something like that and if anything, the valve does the job. I fixed mine permanently
I fixed mine permanently with a rubber band used to cover the brake vent in the car, but there are different designs and I do not remember which one I put there, but it fit perfectly. When the pressure in the bottle is too high, the excess escapes with the second valve, which closes after connecting the bottle and tilting it inwards for gassing, so there is no fear of damage.

Just me about that valve in the unit not in the soda cartridge. When scooping you can hear it dropping the excess but the water is faintly gassed .

Gentlemen. I have fitted a new CO2 bottle to a Dafi Push Air, but the gas flies down the bottle when pressed and some of it goes into the bottle. What to do?

A badly fitted cylinder or a faulty seal, I would rather not find a fault with the cylinder, but you could try connecting another cylinder.

SodaStream is overrated rubbish. It is a waste of PLN 300. Better to buy ordinary sparkling water.

    And for what/who is better?
Back in the pandemic days, when I mainly worked from home, I used to buy Zywiec 1.5l. Every fortnight I put out two yellow bags (metals, plastics). When the kids bought me SodaStream I put out one bag every fortnight.
    So good:
    For you?
    For your convenience?
    For your budget?
    For the planet?

    >>21482237 >>21482237 I'm afraid you're writing off topic on this forum and your subjective opinion, I think, viewers of this thread are not interested. The people who look here bought this by choice and need a problem solved. I myself only notice the pluses from buying it, even though, like any device, it sometimes has the right to break down, like the car you drive to the market to pick up plastic bottles. Well, unless you are writing to write and get to higher levels.

This is an opportunity for me too to share with you my experience with bubbling tap water. I've had an ART version of the SodaStream for two months now (it's the retro one with the lever on the right side). I am just finishing my second CO2 bottle. During these two months I have been keeping statistics on the gassing performance. With me it looks like I managed to get a gassing result of 47 original bottles x 0,8 L = 37,6 L of gassed water from the first CO2 bottle included in the kit. I give 5 approx. 1-second shots per bottle because I like the bubbles to pinch my throat (maybe not the power of Żywiec Zdrój strong gas, but rather a comparison with Cisowianka carbonated). I chill my tap water in the fridge for at least 2-3 hours before carbonating (apparently cold absorbs carbon dioxide better). From the second bottle I currently have 45 0.8 L bottles on the counter. I may be able to get to 46, but the pressure is already very low. Regarding gas escaping when gassing water, this is supposedly normal. At my place, after the "shot", there is a brief hissing of gas somewhere near the water bottle holder (neck). I always wait a while (about 3 seconds) before firing another "shot". And so on for up to five shots. When the gas in the CO2 bottle runs out, the pressure starts to drop, so I hold the gas lever longer at a time, even up to 2-3 seconds.
Personally, I am happy with this invention so far. I have good water in my tap and after gassing it is much better than some Polaris from Lidl. And you don't have to lug around those 1.5-litre PET bottles from the market. I replace a spare CO2 bottle for 25 PLN in the local Leviathan and I see no difference in quality or taste compared to the original. Regards.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around troubleshooting issues with SodaStream devices, specifically regarding insufficient carbonation of water. Users report problems such as weak carbonation, gas escaping through valves, and potential air in CO2 cartridges. Key troubleshooting steps include weighing gas cartridges to check for CO2 presence, ensuring tight seals between the bottle and device, and inspecting the bleed valve for proper closure. Some users suggest replacing gaskets and valves, while others have successfully repaired their devices using makeshift solutions. Warranty exchanges and service options are also mentioned as potential resolutions.
