    Hello.
At the beginning I would like to say hello to everyone because I am new here.

I am thinking about taking the internet PLUS LTE smart home and my question because I completely do not know about the proposed equipment what better to choose a set from odu 200 and idu 200 or better to take a set with router Huawei B315 and buy possibly an external antenna (as they write on the forums it could be a better set. So is there anyone who can dispel my doubts I point out that I care more about coverage because in the place where I live there is very poor coverage from most networks
I live in Broniszów, code 28-500. I am asking for help what to choose or take the Internet from another operator

Have you done any Plus test in your location, what are your signal parameters and speed in the evening? It is Plus and it is different with it, in Krakow and the surrounding area poorly. Range of BTS Plus on LTE800sferia in Kazimera Wielka. It also has LTE1800Aero2 and aggregation of these two LTE1800 + 800 bands. LTesferii is only 5MHz in MIMO2x2 and DL up to 37.5Mbps. on LTE1800Aero2 four times as much. In fact, the speeds depend on the BTS signal and load parameters. On LTE800, the range is much larger than on LTE1800. First, Plus tests on their card and LTE phone with Network cell info will show ECI, eNB BTS and signal parameters. For this speedtest in the evening when the maximum load on the network. Plus's offer is weak, only SmartDom saves it, e.g. 50GB for PLN 25 + installment PLN 18 / month for a B525 router, i.e. PLN 43 / month. in LTE without limit, FUP applies, i.e. operator according to I can see my own cutting speed after downloading the basic limit and then depending on the data consumption. Up to 0.5Mbps. For me, choosing a plus in this location is a misunderstanding, unless the evening tests show good LTE speeds, you do the test outside.

So everything is OK for Plus, LTE1800 Aero2 range from Kazimierza Wielka, good signal parameters. BTS a little overloaded (UL> DL) but no tragedy, take some more tests. And you have to say if about 150-200GB / month is enough for you, because FUP can cut the speed around this limit, of course, there is no guarantee. Have you checked other operators? you will pay 540 PLN in installments for IDU-ODU200. B525 with LTE-A band aggregation 432 PLN, the antenna costs about 200 PLN. But these devices share a technological divide.

I was in PLUS today and a polite lady gave me a huawei b525 device for a quick home test for one day, but it quickly turned out that the sim card in idu odu is the normal big and the b525 is micro so I could not but I theoretically inserted the card from the phone and after logging into the device, the following parameters appeared in the diagnostics, but no internet connection was established to check the speed test. There were 4/3 range glisters on the device. My question is whether this equipment would receive a better signal then

    Device name: B525s-23a
    Modem hardware version: WL1B520FM
    Modem software: 11.236.01.02.69
    Web interface: 21.100.31.00.03
    MAC LAN Address: B0: 55: 08: 1F: 3D: 46
    WAN IP Address: Unknown
    CELL_ID: 3201291
    RSRQ: -12dB
    RSRP: -99dBm
    RSSI: -73dBm
    SINR: 8dB
    PLMN: 26001

B525 is much better equipment than shit odu idu or whatever. It has LTE cat.6 and aggregates 1800 + 800 which will give higher speeds. It will not receive a better signal (unless higher speeds = better reception) but it has external antenna connectors if necessary. It can force individual bands and aggregations. I don't know if you can get rid of it and take something else, it would be highly recommended.

If it's a Plus voice card then APN is a plus, APN's internet offer is the internet. Set APN plus to B525 and see if you connect. On B525 connection with BTS Sielec Biskupi. There are licenses for LTE1800Aero2 and LTE800sferii. One of them works.

So I know everything in one word tomorrow I am going to give this equipment to idu odu and take with b525 :) And finally, I am sorry to ask how I would like to buy an external antenna for this, what model do you recommend or which is the exact one and whether buying this external antenna will also increase the range on the cells or do you need to buy a separate antenna or is it one that will affect LTE and GSM coverage. I found a pair of antennas or one of these is suitable or you recommend another better sorry already so at the end of the question I will ask

First, B525 force LTE1800, LTE800 and LTE1800 + 800 aggregation in turn. Check the signal parameters and BTS data as well as the speed. To manage the B525, use the Android application http://www.mediafire.com/file/6164xqf8az6ju81/Huawei_Manager_PL.apk in it you will force these bands and check the necessary data, for this speedtest in the evening. Antenna selection after tests. Well, why do you have a strong push on Plus if for 45/55 PLN there is unlimited internet in T-mobile and B525 is for 1 PLN. LTE1800NetWorks and LTE800 T-Mobile operate at BTSs of Kazimierz W., UMiG and Będziaki and LTE800 has at Kazimierz at Kolejowa 25 and Soboszów. But the closest is BTS Play at Przemysłowa in Kazimierz, where LTE2600, LTE1800, LTE2100 and LTE800 are operating, and aggregation of these bands. Play at LTE is still unlimited and without a contract for PLN 5 / month. You can buy LTE equipment yourself. it's worth testing Play and T-Mobile.

Hello, the choice of plus is because it has bad experience with t-mobile and does not want this network anymore and the choice fell on PLUS because parents want to use this smart home and want to take TVs because they are tempted by their offer and price and they find it hard so only PLUS came into play.
I was also in the morning this morning and I am dispelled by you from the plus that as in a full stop because he advised me not to take b525 because of that idu is in my location as he stated better equipment that will always work does not support it 3g so no problem with what he said and LTE coverage on it will independently receive and added that everyone from further surroundings from Kazimierz take only this set because the department is checked and there is no problem with it and as for the b525 he advises me because he is afraid that it will not check the result in this context that it is like newer technology and is afraid that it may be so but it will be so sure that after exceeding 70giga which I offer the Internet in the contract will be cut off and it will not work with this equipment is good for the city to Kazimierz not to the area where there is further range from the transmitter and I am in a pinch because I do not understand any of this. I apologize in advance for being tired of you with questions.

    Added after 10 [minutes]:

and the second one I asked why it must be released by polsat that I would prefer it by plus that after the contract I have to give the equipment back as it would be by polsat and by plus then it stays on my property so he advised me that it is not profitable that then I have only 2 years warranty and it will break down and that it is not possible that it was released and here it has 5 years warranty and replacement of equipment from my hand not like in the case of a pleat I have to wait two weeks even after I said but despite everything wants to take it then after the 14-day test ends and such a confusion in the head is that man no longer knows what to do

the man from the salon is trying to force the scrap that works only on LTE800, LTE1800 and LTE2600 in addition without aggregating LTE bands. Worth little and certainly not PLN 540 in installments. In addition, Plus intends to give up LTE800Sferia next year. Instead, it begins to introduce LTE900 and LTE2100, which this crap doesn't support. Janusz from the area take this set just like Plus because they watched TV too much, B525 is equipment with aggregation of 2 LTE bands, supports all LTE and 3G frequencies. He is separated from the ODU-IDU by an abyss. If you are upgrading a plus network in your area, you will benefit from them, as will LTE band aggregation. it is worth PLN 500 and you can buy it in installments for PLN 432. equipment for the coming years will meet the network's requirements and progress is great. You have coverage from Kazimierz or from Sielec. On the ODU200 you will not force a connection with a specific one because the ODU has a weak omnidirectional antenna. The only gain from it is that it gets a signal from outside. A directional antenna for selected bands / band is used for the B525 and set to BTS, which will give better speeds. As for the offer, it is 70GB guaranteed, then on LTe without limit, but FUP works, which gradually reduces speeds at around 200GB, it can even be 0.5Mbps. To Plus, there is no specific limit and funnel guaranteed. The operator does it according to I can see my own. 70GB in SmartDom is PLN 35 / month plus PLN 18 installment for B525 or PLN 22.50 for IDU-ODU200. The cost of PLN 53.57.50 / month for internet with limits. in T-Mobile for PLN 55 without data limit and DL up to 60Mb / s or for PLN 45 for unlimited data and DL up to 20Mb / s. In subscription B525 for 1 PLN. I have already written about the infrastructure of Plus and T-Mobile. But your choice.

So in a nutshell: in the salon, the consultants are tasked with pressing the unfamiliar equipment that does not sell, and this is a PERFECT example. If you can, do not hesitate and take the B525 because it is much better. As for Plus and CP, it also pulls you. But whether you let him fuck him or not depends on you.

FAQ

TL;DR: If you need range near Broniszów (28-500), pick Huawei B525 over ODU/IDU. Concrete stat: FUP may drop speeds to 0.5 Mbps. Expert quote: "B525 is equipment with aggregation of 2 LTE bands." [Elektroda, matek451, post #16811150] Why it matters: This FAQ shows how to choose and tune LTE gear for better coverage and stable speeds in weak-signal areas.

Quick Facts

What’s the best LTE setup here: ODU/IDU 200 or Huawei B525?

Choose Huawei B525. It supports LTE Cat.6 with 1800+800 aggregation, external antennas, and future upgrades better than ODU/IDU. The salon-pushed ODU/IDU lacks carrier aggregation and offers poorer flexibility for weak-signal tuning. “B525 is equipment with aggregation of 2 LTE bands.” [Elektroda, matek451, post #16811150]

How fast can LTE800 Sferia actually go near Kazimierza Wielka?

LTE800 Sferia there uses 5 MHz MIMO 2x2. The downlink tops out around 37.5 Mbps under ideal radio and low-load conditions. In practice, evening speeds drop with cell load and signal quality. Consider band aggregation with LTE1800 for better throughput when available. [Elektroda, matek451, post #16806957]

What real speeds did users see on-site with Plus?

With ODU/IDU indoors on Band 3, measured RSRP was −91 dBm, SINR 11 dB. Speed tests showed about 21–27 Mbps download and 28–33 Mbps upload. These are decent for a lightly tuned setup and can improve with outdoor, directional antennas and band control on a B525. [Elektroda, peri20, post #16807841]

What is FUP and how does Plus apply it?

FUP means Fair Use Policy. In Plus SmartDom, 70 GB is the base allowance. After heavier use, around 150–200 GB monthly, speeds may be progressively throttled, even to ~0.5 Mbps. This behavior varies and isn’t a fixed, published cap per user. [Elektroda, matek451, post #16811150]

Will ODU/IDU 200 age out with network changes?

Yes, it’s risky. Plus planned to retire LTE800 Sferia and roll in LTE900/LTE2100. ODU/IDU 200 doesn’t support those bands, so you lose future capacity and flexibility. B525 supports all common LTE/3G bands and aggregation. [Elektroda, matek451, post #16811150]

How do I force bands and test properly on a B525?

Use the Huawei Manager app to lock LTE1800, LTE800, then 1800+800 aggregation. Check signal (RSRP/RSRQ/SINR), serving cell, and run evening speed tests. Repeat for each band/aggregation and note the best-performing BTS. [Elektroda, matek451, post #16810740]

What is LTE band aggregation, in simple terms?

Carrier aggregation combines multiple LTE bands (e.g., 1800+800) to act like one wider channel. It boosts throughput and stability, especially when one band is congested. B525 supports two-band aggregation; ODU/IDU 200 does not. [Elektroda, makosuu, post #16810541]

Which APN should I use on the B525 with a Plus SIM?

For Plus voice SIMs, set APN to “plus.” For Plus Internet offers, set APN to “internet.” Correct APN ensures attachment and IP address assignment for data sessions. [Elektroda, matek451, post #16810546]

What outdoor antenna should I buy for B525?

Decide after tests. First lock LTE1800, LTE800, and 1800+800, log signal, serving BTS, and speeds. Then choose a directional MIMO antenna tuned to the winning band(s) and aim at that BTS for the best gain and SINR. [Elektroda, matek451, post #16810740]

What do RSRP, RSRQ, and SINR mean for my link?

RSRP shows signal strength, RSRQ shows quality relative to interference, and SINR shows usable signal versus noise. Example on-site: RSRP −91 dBm and SINR 11 dB delivered mid‑20 Mbps downloads. Higher SINR usually means higher, steadier speeds. [Elektroda, peri20, post #16807841]

Is the store claim that ODU/IDU works “better in the countryside” accurate?

No. That kit mainly benefits from placing the radio outdoors. It still lacks aggregation, band control, and future-band support. A B525 with a directional antenna outperforms it in rural scenarios when aimed at the right BTS. [Elektroda, matek451, post #16811150]

Edge case: why is my upload faster than download?

Your BTS may be congested in downlink. The thread showed UL exceeding DL at times, indicating evening load. Locking to LTE1800 or aggregating 1800+800 with B525 can rebalance throughput. [Elektroda, matek451, post #16808190]

Can I test with a phone SIM in the B525?

Yes, but set the correct APN first. Without the right APN, the modem registers on the cell but gets no WAN IP, so speed tests fail. [Elektroda, matek451, post #16810546]

How do Plus and T‑Mobile offers compare here?

The thread notes T‑Mobile had unlimited plans (45–55 PLN) and strong local LTE800/LTE1800 sites. Still, the user chose Plus for bundle reasons. Always test both before signing. [Elektroda, matek451, post #16810740]

What is a BTS and why aim at a specific one?

A BTS is the cellular base station serving your area. Locking bands and aiming a directional antenna at the least‑loaded BTS with usable signal often yields the best, most stable speeds. [Elektroda, matek451, post #16810740]

Quick 3‑step how-to: optimize Plus LTE at 28‑500

  1. On B525, lock LTE1800, record RSRP/RSRQ/SINR and evening speeds.
  2. Lock LTE800, repeat measurements.
  3. Enable 1800+800 CA, test again; pick the profile and BTS with the best results. [Elektroda, matek451, post #16810740]
