Hello. I have LTE internet in Cyfrowy Polsat. I have equipment from them in the form of an idu200 router and an external odu200 antenna. Unfortunately, the idu200 on the first floor does not wirelessly cover the ground floor of the house. I am considering buying another router that I would use instead of the idu200 or the other one that I would connect to the odu200 with a cable and place it on the ground floor to distribute the signal wirelessly. Are such options possible at all? If so, I am inclined to the second solution only what, with what and how ... Thanks in advance for all the help.

After all, the IDU has to stay because it supports the ODU. Buy a router for it and set it as AP. You connect it with a LAN-LAN cable to the IDU and then you have one network in your home created by the IDU. On the router, you set the address 192.168.0.2, you turn off the DHCP server, the WiFi network has the same name or a different name, the encryption is the same as an IDU, the WiFi channel is different. On the IDU you set the DHCP to the range 192.168.0.10-192.168.0.100. The cheapest router is for example WR-841. How does Plus LTE work on this set, what speeds, signal parameters, what LTE band do you use?

Thanks for the answer. I called the CP technical department and they were unable to give me a specific answer there. Previously I had idu100 and odu100. It was a tragedy. Now there is no madness either, but compared to that, it is day to night. The transfer rate increased several times to around 10/3. Previously, downloads were around 2mb / s and less. There were a dozen at night. Of course, now I work in the 2600 band. Previously it was 800. Can you recommend something stronger than the given tp link?

What for - the link you have is poor and this one is enough.

Got 10/3 Mbps on LTE2600? What is the location, such poverty indicates the poor parameters of the LTE2600 signal on this ODU200. Show the signal parameters from LTE Status to IDU. Of course, the WR-841 is enough for these speeds. In Play, I have DL 100-200Mb / s and I use TOTOLINKA AC3002RU as an additional AP, i.e. a router with WiFi in AC1200 with Gigabit LAN connected to the E5186, which has the same ports and it makes sense. Your IDU has 100Mb / s ports and there is no point in buying a better AP router for it.

What a crap. I have a similar distance as you with a cane on the way but, normal antenna and router in the same box as the antenna (no antenna cables). My parameters highlighted. What you give must be eminently idiotic.

And on BTS Strzelno 44119 does LTE2600 Plus work at all? Check the CP card and LTE phone with the Network Cell Info application, it will show BTS eNB, ECI and signal parameters. Test at home and under the BTS. And the signal parameters are tragic for 1.5 km from the BTS on this ODU, but it's normal for this invention. There are cheesy omnidirectional antennas with practically zero gain in ODU.

On the 800mhz and 1800mhz bands the DL and UL values are somewhere around 2/1. What do you propose in this case? Any modification of the ODU200 or the purchase of something specific?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around improving LTE internet coverage in a home using Cyfrowy Polsat's IDU200 router and ODU200 antenna. The user seeks advice on whether to replace the IDU200 or add a second router connected via LAN to enhance wireless coverage on the ground floor. Recommendations include using a TP-Link WR-841 as an additional access point (AP) connected to the IDU200, with specific settings for IP address, DHCP, and WiFi configuration. Users also discuss signal quality issues, with parameters indicating poor LTE performance at a distance of 1.5-2 km from the transmitter. Suggestions for alternative solutions include checking the signal parameters and considering modifications to the ODU200 or purchasing a more effective antenna.
