Hi. Well, I have an old lenovo g570 laptop with a 750gb disk. I am going to put a 128GB SSD in its place and the current HDD in place of the DVD drive. As I had no problem with selecting the parts, I already have it reinstalled. Is it enough to completely format the hdd first to do such a conversion? Can it be done by inserting a Windows 7 disc and selecting Format, then selecting the C partition? My point is that after such a procedure, the disc should be completely empty, i.e. in the same condition as after buying a new one from the store. Then I should probably put the SSD in the place of the usual one and install Windows normally on it, and finally, by removing the drive in its place, put the bay with the old 750GB disk? I am to understand that after such a modification and in this order, after starting the laptop, I will see two C drives - (i.e. SSD) with the system and a second partition with a capacity of 750gb, i.e. HDD?

I would like to make sure that the parts I chose (specifically the HDD pocket) are appropriate

Welcome. You can do exactly as you describe, attach HDD after installing on SSD system. Also, when installing the system, you will have the option to delete partitions and create new ones, so if the second disk is already mounted, it can also be cleaned before installation.

As for the SSD, it is better to pay extra for the A-data SP920, it is an MLC drive and has a 5-year warranty. The SU800 may be if your budget is very tight.

It seems to me that your laptop has a drive with a height of 12.7mm and not 9.5mm - in this case, a pocket like this will be better: http://allegro.pl/kieszen-na-dysk-ramka-2-5-hdd- ssd-sata-12-7-i6953774299.html (PLN 50 for such a pocket is a bit much, there is no electronics there).

As for the disk, it's a good idea with this extra charge. Because this adata sp920 looks better. As for disks, I am much more familiar with the topic SSD m.2 because I have one in my current laptop. And as for the thickness of the pocket, 9.5 mm does not apply to the maximum thickness of the disk that can be mounted there?

No, it's the thickness (height) of the pockets. Laptop drives were 12.7mm thick and 9.5mm thick, so there are pockets that can replace one or the other. It looks like you might put in a thinner pocket, but a gap will remain, so it's not worth it. First of all, check the thickness of the burner you have and adjust the pocket depending on it.

I removed the drive and after measuring it turned out to be 12.7mm thick, so I have to order the thicker pocket.
