Hello.
I would like information on the behaviour of such an installation:
1. a standard electrical lighting installation in a room, one light source, a bistable switch mounted on the wall
2. Fibaro FGD-212 dimmer added
My question relates to such a situation:
When the light is switched on using the wall switch, the key stays in the „on” position, then using the Fibaro app, everything is switched off. The key is still in the „lit” position.
What if I now want to physically switch the lighting on using the wall switch? I have to move the key to the „off” position and again „on”? Does the dimmer automatically recognise this behaviour?
In addition, I would like to ask whether it is sensible to install dimmers on existing installations which are mostly bistable?
Is it immediately recommended to replace them with monostable ones?
In the case of monostable, is it enough to simply replace the switches or is something else needed if I omit the dimmer?
