Recover data from a phone with broken Samsung galaxy S4 display

Hello, recently my phone has fallen, the display has broken and it is not working.
I want to buy a new phone. But I need to recover data from the old hence my question how to do it? I know that I can connect to a computer and recover photos of music and other multimedia, but what about contacts? news? Can it be recovered somehow via computer?

the second thing is that after recovering the data I would like to sell the phone somewhere in parts and before I do it it would be good to restore the phone to factory settings so that it would not have my saved passwords, sms messages etc.

If it doesn't work out by computer another way is to try through the menu with another working phone of this model.

There, click "find phone" then "consider deleting data from the device".

What phone is that Have you used any program from the producer to connect to the phone? I am the owner of an android myself after several years of not having it, and I do not know exactly, but does this program not allow what you need?
