    Hello
I have a question whether in Passat with green clocks from the first projection 1996 the side impact sensors are somehow related to the sensor. Is it possible to replace these sensors or the replacement will not help due to the matching after No. They are sensors in aluminum Bosch flaps No. 0 285 001 177, 3B0 959 643.
A strange thing, the sensor reported a sensor error of both, with info about open circuit wires ok. Error 1221 and 1222.
I checked the circuit by plugging in the resistor and the error can be deleted, so the installation is ok. Strange, I thought that the info about the side shift was digital and plugging in the resistor would not do anything.
But I would like to replace the sensors so that the system is operational.

Can the sensors be set up with an audi similar number 8D0959643 or other plastic ones

sensors only with markings as original. I'd like to see if they are definitely damaged - mechanically or flooded with water and rotten inside, or the sensor may be damaged (Air Bag controller)

Well, the side impact sensors are not flooded, they look ok. When I caught up and cleaned the plug, it was even possible to delete the error for a while. I'll check it again when I have the car.
You do not know if they are somehow paired with the sensor.

As I used to do tests on golf 4 2000, only pairs worked for me. So the driver and sensors from the set.
Audi a6 also, the side impact sensor fell and is located in the post under the belt lifter and replacing it with another one did not extinguish the error, only the same sensor number did the trick.
