You know, it would be too easy - you could import various cars that were not allowed for trade in the EU due to e.g. non-compliance with emission standards (and lack of approval) and refer to the inability to use a European substitute because they did not come out. And that's probably not what legal regulations are about. Call this institute.

Well, it seems too easy to me, but two people have already said that they have heard something about it. However, neither of them was able to indicate the legal provision. So there is something about it, but it is probably heavily constrained and perhaps it really only applies to monuments, and in relation to other vehicles the interpretation is wishful. I also called PIMOT, presented the matter and ... they can not fully say what it is like when there is no European replacement for a vehicle that has a European approval in a different configuration. I received information that the provisions do not regulate this. I sent an e-mail, they will comment formally. For now, I don't want to discuss this and am waiting for an official reply.

I had found it before and thought about it too. Before I make any move, however, I will wait for the answer from PIMOT.

Hello,
I'm importing the 2017 Tucson from the USA. I am faced with the problem of adjusting the front lighting; because there is no big problem with the back. The original car has xenon torsion lamps. You can insert LEDs, but it requires interference in the original installation - how much I do not know yet. From what I have heard, although I have no confirmation, there is no need to replace the tubes in such a situation. Can anyone confirm this, possibly indicate a source confirming / contradicting it? Before I make any move on this topic, I'd like to know where I stand. The more that the costs are not low. I will be grateful for any hints.
