    Perhaps damage to the motherboard.

It does not check the problem to see if it is software.
You record e.g. using Rufus ISO with linux to a USB pen and boot from USB.

You are to do so. You need to download the image with linux, in other words ISO.
That's it, you click after choosing ISO "Start" and boot your computer.

Here you have links to the latest Linux Mint distribution. You download the ISO file to the computer disk via the browser. Select the appropriate 32 or 64 bit version. KDE, Xfce, Cinnamone and Mate are desktop environments you can choose whatever suits you. Here links to iso images .

what kind of desktop environment does it matter?

    There is not.

@Christophorus I handed out something light. Puppy weighs e.g. ~ 170MB ;) and the new Minty is with 2GB :D

You enter the BIOS of the motherboard (which model you did not provide for 23 posts) using DEL or F2 and change the boot order to USB on the Boot tab. You write CMOS with the F10 + ENTER key.
You check the keyboard under linux.
You describe the effect in words.

That's right, now I just wrote it wrong, because it replaces and not that they do not answer or are responsible for something completely different. Fortunately, DAŁ works

You set it up so that the Kingston USB is at the top of the list. Then F10 + ENTER.

Topic summary

Pawel reported issues with his Genesis X66 keyboard, where the keys were rearranging and not functioning correctly. Initial troubleshooting included checking the operating system (Windows 10) and suggesting tests on another computer or using a live Linux USB to determine if the problem was hardware or software-related. After several attempts to create a bootable USB with Linux, Pawel discovered that the issue was due to a corrupted keyboard profile, which he resolved by resetting the keyboard settings through the Genesis software. The discussion also touched on potential hardware damage and the importance of checking keyboard language settings.
