    Hi,
I would like to replace the batteries in the ZELMER CITO VC1202 vacuum cleaner.
The current ones are so weak that they can withstand maybe 2-4 min.
Is it enough to replace them with new ones or do you have to bury something in electronics? e.g. reset cycle memory etc.?
What can they replace? Original is the cost of almost a new vacuum cleaner. Maybe you know any substitutes? I was looking for Ali *, but it must be some special high-current?
    Luke.

buddy, it would be useful and what kind of rechargeable batteries, what cell voltage is it, for example, not 2x 18650? The electronics of the battery electronics would also contribute a lot whether there is any eeprom that would count the charging cycles.

    Ok, I found it myself:

    Catalog number: 4F9-DV-CMMA-62T
    Voltage: 14.4 V
    Cell capacity: 2200 mAh
    Battery type: Ni-MH

I see, for example, such packages that should fit but on Li-ion that can not be unloaded too much because they will be in the bin so I would not advise using them without protection against excessive discharge

maybe something like that you would stuff and much cheaper than the original EPT-SC2200mAh 14.4V on Ni-MH

And in these batteries there is no charge cycle counter, so maybe only one cell has fallen and you will get somewhere and replace it. Start by charging the package and measuring each cell and loading test. Several charging and discharging cycles can also suddenly liven up the battery

I'd love to stuff something. I am saying that they must be "SUB C" high currents.
Only how are these high currents marked and how much of this max current must be?

You probably have written somewhere on the casing how much your wonder has watts and you can calculate how much max ampere you swallow. About 100W or 7A
I wonder if you would not stuff a gel battery there

Can I use a light bulb as a load to measure voltage drops?

Of course you can use a 20w 12V bulb from the direction indicators or a halogen eye, it all depends on which cells you have there, e.g. 2x 6V or other cells with a lower voltage, e.g. 12x 1.2V Sub C

from the online auction of spare batteries for this vacuum cleaner, I guess these are packages as below:

You will find out how you cut your own package and see what they used there. If SUB C is 1.2V on each cell, it is worth charging something smaller, e.g. 3V 5W

I have found such a description - supposedly dedicated to this model:
ZELMER CITO VC1202 Vacuum Cleaner: Battery Replacement, Substitute Options & Reset Cycle

interestingly, below like two vacuum cleaners and labels themselves - the first one is mine, the other from another vacuum cleaner and here 12 AA is already written

PS photo and description of the original set from the online store with household appliances:
Was there a mistake in the description of AA?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around replacing the batteries in the ZELMER CITO VC1202 vacuum cleaner, which currently only lasts 2-4 minutes. Users suggest that the original battery specifications include a voltage of 14.4V and a capacity of 2200 mAh, using Ni-MH technology. Alternatives such as high-current "SUB C" cells are discussed, with considerations for the maximum current draw based on the vacuum's power rating. Users also mention the importance of checking for any electronic components that may require resetting after battery replacement. Suggestions for testing battery performance include using a light bulb as a load to measure voltage drops. The conversation highlights the potential for using cheaper substitutes found online, while cautioning against using Li-ion batteries without proper discharge protection.
