Can you tell me if the code shows where the battery was made?
What do the first five characters represent?
    C 4 0 1 Y 0 (y) 77 (m)

Does the old code show where this battery was manufactured?
    6 J C 1 4 I 2
What do the last two characters of the old code represent?

    Thanks for your reply.

Where is the date on the battery? I bought the car in June (used). So far, I have not had any problems with the battery, but today -2 so I put it for the whole day for charging and made it warming from a mat :) I have never had a battery with an eyelet, I read that if it is ok, it should be green, and the battery says that it should be black.

I found 2 numbers on my battery:
    1. From the top - right corner
    Code on a dark surface: C2222 140

    2. On the side on the long rear wall
Manufacturer code on a plastic casing and recycling symbols.

Which is the right one for the date of manufacture? Exide Premuim EA722.
What is the production date of my battery?

    Answer from other sources.
In my case, the date can be read from the code from the first photo C2222 140.
The last 3 digits are information about date 140
    1 - year 2021
    40 (4) - April

    Date April 2021

    Hello, I am new here.
I changed my old auto battery Exide Excell and I bought a new Exide Premium carbon boost 2.0
    64Ah EA640
There are two stickers on the top with the code UK:027TE and EX2FD202 and a hot stamped to the side of
    the battery: C407L 173.
Can someone explain me the date of manufacture by the codes, of the battery?

PS. I emailed EXIDE with the same question and they answered this.
''We apologize, but we cannot communicate the manufacture date to the final customers, nor we stamp it on our batteries due to our company's policy.''

For 3 weeks I have been trying to reach "Five Star" with the same question, but they, in turn, have a policy of not picking up the phone.

If the manufacturer has not changed the coding of the production dates, you have read it correctly.
