Hello, I have had Vaillant EcoTEC Plus for about 9 years and F.61 errors have recently started to be reported. At first, the frequency increased once a week. now I have to reset the stove every 1-2 days. After the reset everything works fine. I spoke to another serviceman. Scheme identical for many users. First, a single fault, then the whole pattern repeats and the error shows up more and more often. Of course, after the reset everything worked as it should. The gas valve opens and closes properly. Do you think the fault is programmed to manifest itself identically?
How is it possible that the motherboard with electronics for about PLN 1000 breaks down and yet after the reset on the keys the boiler still works properly?
Does anyone know what the fault of the disc is and where it can be fixed / price or (disc diagram?)
    Michael

And how do you know that this is a motherboard error / malfunction.
According to the instructions: "F.61 defective gas valve control - short / ground in the cable harness to the gas valve, gas valve defective (short / short in the coils), damaged electronics".
Maybe the gas valve is coming to an end?

Well, unfortunately, F.61 almost always ends with replacing the motherboard. Although several times I have found a minimal water droplet in the gas valve plug to the plate that caused the short circuit. Well, there must be a leak somewhere. If it's dry, it's a plate. I never repair discs, but apparently the drying electrolytic capacitors may be responsible for this error - but I haven't checked it.

I confirm the capacitors dry out in the power supply, especially the impulse ones ... I still do not speak because such posts are removed, replacement of electrolytic capacitors restores the efficiency of the plates - not once checked .... I warn dangerous voltage and you need to know how and fix it (simulate the work of the furnace) . (even for service technicians). The easiest way to fix it - REPLACE THE MODULE .... GAS !!!!! ... (elements around 20 PLN - probably 1000 PLN) Plates damaged after lightning discharges are RELIABLE WE DO NOT REPAIR - the module is demolished / burned, usually irreversibly.
This problem applies to all kinds of electronic equipment (the factory works 24g / day, I say that it must be deliberately too for new equipment, every day we use telecommunications with power supplies to the gym, ADSL / VDSL shelf power supplies, the same problem, here the decrease in internet speed and oven as described above.
I do NOT take up the above-mentioned website anymore (I was fixing more out of curiosity if it could be and forced by the family) because I can fix it and not a problem, but then you need to check the rest you need to have the appropriate "tools" with GAS as the cases show no jokes. The problems described in the next post on Sunday with my stove are serviced on Tuesday after my use of the stove checked if there is gas leakage somewhere, the correct mixture, etc. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS !!!!

From the experience of a service technician. I asked him the same thing. He has already had many such cases. The same scheme as above.

Eh buddy, give up on these conspiracies! A record for 1000 zlotys and breaks down, terrible! What does the price of anything have to do with durability? It costs so much because it can't do more. F61 impossible? Possible buddy and it's one day after launch. Replace the gas unit with a new one and take apart the old one, you will see what it is a compilation of plastic elements with a smaller content of plastic in plastic. With this repair and schematics you rocked !!!! You might as well just be safer looking for a way to flush toilet paper. Do not look at the price of the board and its (un) durability. Look at the color screen of the display, the possibility of connecting via WiFi, look at the app on the smartphone what you can poster, see that the boiler carton was made of cardboard from risajkling (this is the Polish word), see that no device has been tested on animals, etc. Understand? And this applies to Everything that surrounds us, so wake up
    Greetings

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the recurring F.61 error in the Vaillant EcoTEC Plus boiler, which the user has experienced over nine years. Initially infrequent, the error has escalated, requiring resets every 1-2 days. Responses indicate that the F.61 error often leads to motherboard replacement, although some suggest that issues with the gas valve or wiring could also be the cause. Drying electrolytic capacitors in the power supply are mentioned as a potential factor contributing to the error. The user ultimately decides to send the damaged motherboard for repair, concluding the discussion.
