Hello, is there any owner of a YATO YT-8245 transformer soldering iron here? Could anyone tell me something about her? I heard that the tips for this soldering iron are not suitable for anything, and they are not interchangeable, and the soldering iron itself goes quite loudly. Thanks for every reply.

I didn't deal with this soldering iron but with two similar ones, not at home but at work.
And I would never buy something like that at home. Directly attach only such tips as they are included.
    Besides, this monstrous power.
At home I have a ZDZ 75W soldering iron for at least a dozen years and I can recommend such or similar Lutola.
Price similar or slightly higher, and satisfaction and comfort of work much higher.

These caves are not replaceable, because they really do not wear out. I used to have a similar soldering iron and was happy with it, unfortunately I left it somewhere and the next one I bought of this type was definitely worse. The problem with these soldering irons is the connection of the transformer winding with the sleeves that hold the tip - unfortunately, someone thought that this connection should be soldered and quite quickly (sometimes even several minutes of work) cold solder is formed, especially if it is unleaded solder, and today they are all.

In general, it is better to choose a Lutol type soldering iron, although the quality of these soldering irons has also deteriorated in recent years. I already have a third copy - the previous two have been replaced with new ones under warranty. They just smoked when soldering.

My opinion about this soldering iron is "don't touch the stick with a wide arc."
