Peugeot 307 2005 RHR 2.0 - Error P1598 - Coolant bypass solenoid circuit

It happens that it heats the coolant to over 100 ° C, the only error is P1598.
The problem is that the thermostat comes with a valve (generally 3 plugs come to it), you can't buy a new one anywhere.
I called the ASO, but "they don't have a drawing and can't say anything" you know.

Has anyone done this before and know if there is a replacement? Did the French invent something again in this car?? I did in the newer 2.0 RHR because 2007 and there is no metal valve there and you can buy one for PLN 200.

I don't have anything in my catalog either, just a newer type. In the ASO after the VIN number, they did not find anything? Weird. I suspect that you can install a newer type of thermostat and code the one present in the ECU. Look for someone with a service PSA computer.

Only the guy at the dealership told me that they have some (no drawing) and you need to buy "some" tube plus a screw for it, so I suspect it will be as you say.

Go to the Peugeot or Citroen service with the VIN number, there is a replacement. Another engine cover, to which the thermostat solenoid valve, another thermostat and an additional pipe for coolant circulation are mounted. Expensive business, about a thousand, but it works and you will forget about the problem of engine overheating.
