    Hello
I am looking for a drive for a double-leaf gate suspended on wide posts (depth of hinges about 20 cm). The gate has leaves less than 2 m each, leaf weight less than 100 kg: steel structure + rails about 130 cm high.
Due to the fact that the entrance to the yard is "broken", I cannot use the central stop (I would hook the car's chassis against it). I would also like to avoid the stops in the open position. I was thinking about Moovo with a broken arm, but I read various opinions about the mechanical durability of such a solution.
Until now, I had some Chinese 24V actuators with built-in limit switches (my control panel supports limit switches, the control panel of some Polish company). The whole thing worked for almost 10 years, but finally the actuators are demanding to retire them (one has already completely broken down :) )
I am looking for a set for about PLN 1600-1700.

Of the good break-arm drives the BFT has, it is exactly the Virgo model. It is over your budget but not much. 24V power supply. There is no need to be afraid of such machines, but you have to be more careful with the arms themselves. The very fact that they do not stick to the wings makes it easier to damage them.

You won't find broken ones for 1700, there will be sets above 2000 - the above mentioned BFT Virgo, FAAC 391, Came Fast (all around 2100), a bit more expensive Nice POP ....
They will be perfect for your light gate - silent-running, high work culture, with the possibility of installing electric limit switches or mechanical bumpers on the arms.

Your price includes concealed linear actuator kits with the possibility of mounting mechanical bumpers in the actuator - only these must be extended models due to the wide posts (standard ones have a stroke of about 30 cm, extended over 40 cm).
Every company has them, an example can be the Nice set with Wingo 3524 actuators (stroke over 45 cm) with the possibility of mounting bumpers in the actuators, the Moon MC424 control panel.

    Hello
Nice appeals to me a lot, but the provision in the warranty conditions for installation by an authorized installer and the obligatory, paid inspections are discouraging.
I think I will lean towards BFT Virgo ... Do you have any experience with this set? How about the failure rate etc?

I don't know if I will answer your question completely, but I have a Deimos model (for sliding), I am very pleased.

It is definitely not worth buying an automaton on a paw-cap. Many times I have come across beautiful gates and a drama actuator. The effect was basically easy to predict after the first winter. Deimos - more than okay.

And how? Did you buy Are you after assembly? When it comes to choice, you have made the right choice. Consider the extended warranty if you want to be more confident about the durability of your drive. Take an interest in hiring a good editor, because that is also an important issue. Take care of maintenance, because even the best automation sometimes needs to be checked by yourself and kept in good condition. Such advice at the beginning. :)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around selecting a suitable drive for a double-leaf gate with wide posts, specifically without limiters due to space constraints. The user seeks a solution within a budget of PLN 1600-1700, having previously used Chinese 24V actuators. Recommendations include the BFT Virgo, FAAC 391, and Nice POP, all of which exceed the budget but are noted for their reliability and performance. The BFT Virgo is favored for its mechanical durability, while the Nice brand is appealing but comes with concerns about warranty conditions and installation requirements. Users emphasize the importance of proper installation and maintenance for longevity.
