What camera? Enter the PTZ control of the selected camera and push the plus of the first from the bottom on the right (from the top you probably have zoom, focus and underneath). If the menu opens, the camera supports this function (i.e. changing parameters, etc.), but not all cameras have such functions as IR disabling.

@goofee something more, because it is late, and I will not drink coffee or tea for the night, telling the coffee grounds :) What camera and what recorder.

I just found nothing there. I even disassembled the camera and combined with the diode connectors, but it did not work.

Well, if you did not find anything there, the cameras do not have such functions - sorry. Personally, I would cut the wire from the infrared circuit, if there is one - I have no idea what it looks like inside the camera.

The case is still relevant and other. I had a problem with the DAHUA camera and I was able to disconnect the infrared without any problem by taking the camera apart and disconnecting the plugs. The description on this blog was helpful:

For now, all other camera functions work without any problems.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the possibility of permanently disabling the infrared (IR) feature on Hikvision cameras and recorders. Users inquire about methods to turn off the IR functionality, with some suggesting accessing the camera's PTZ control interface to check for options. However, it is noted that not all models support IR disabling. One user attempted to modify the camera by disassembling it and connecting the diode connectors but was unsuccessful. Another user shared their experience with a DAHUA camera, where they successfully disconnected the IR by taking the camera apart. The conversation highlights the lack of built-in options for IR disabling in certain Hikvision models and suggests physical modifications as a potential solution.
