    Hello Forumers.

I am writing with the following problem.

I have a SATEL Percecta 16 WRL panel that I just installed. For this manipulator in the WRL version.

After starting the control panel, I connected it to the RS and launched Perfecta Soft. The program easily read information about the control panel. I only changed the "Connect with PERFECTA CONTROL via SATEL server" and "Connect with PERFECTA SOFT via SATEL" functions without moving the control panel key in the configuration and sent the settings to the control panel. I restarted it and since then when trying to connect with Perfect Soft I have info about an incorrect control panel key. In the program settings the key field is empty.

    I've already tried:
    1.setting the settings via JP1
    2. Upgrade the firmware to 1.01
    3. Downgrade to 1.00
    4. Connection from another computer

The cable is not damaged, because it correctly reads and uploads the firmware. Of course, the port settings are correct, because Perfect Soft initiates the connection with the control panel, LEDs on the data transmission light up on the RS.

From what I know, in Perfect Soft you do not need to enter the control panel key if it has factory settings. JP1 short circuit and reconnection should restore them, but it probably doesn't work. It seems to me that the control panel has a service mode lock enabled by default. You confirm?

I do not have a wired keypad connected, so I cannot confirm any deletion of settings. I also did not manage to add the wireless keypad on which the message would be displayed (at least this is the instruction). Do you have any idea how to reset it?

Thanks in advance for any comments and tips.

PS I read the subject https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic3371538.html, but this is not my case.

norbert.s ., you are absolutely right - JP1 is a service mode, not a factory reset. My mistake.

Firmware flashing went without the control panel key. How do i know that There is a separate program for flashing that verifies the firmware version before flashing and asks for confirmation during the downgrade. I originally had version 1.00, I uploaded 1.01 and later on downgarde to 1.00 he asked me if I really want to upload older soft. I have uploaded. Another flash was a return to 1.01 and the program displayed that it was flashing from version 1.00 to 1.01. Flashing can also be done without the control panel key.

I have a problem with the wired keypad that I don't have such a keypad. I would not like to buy, because I will not use it (no wiring), and borrowing can be a problem. But I have no choice but to find somewhere like that.

    Thanks for the help!

Connecting the keypad obviously helped. Everything worked, detectors, keypads and remotes added.

However, I noticed an interesting thing. I read the 16-digit control panel key from the wired keypad in FS and pat it into Perfecta Soft. The program did not recognize him and continued to report the wrong key. Only a reset to factory settings allowed to reconnect.

In the Perfecty programming manual, far and far away in the text is information that when programming the control panel for the first time, the program randomly selects 16 characters and assigns it to the control panel as a key. I did not read this fragment and hence my problems. By the way, they might not do it from the machine, but remind the user that the control panel key has not been assigned and ask him to enter his own string of characters.

    Subject to close.

Has the key been entered in the program in capital letters? The key is saved in this way, i.e. using large characters. If we enter the key into the exchange using small characters, it unfortunately will not work.
The size of letters is important.

The key was entered (several times) as it was presented on the display - upper case letters + numbers, 16 characters in total. Because I did not have any important settings saved in the control panel memory and did not want to look for reasons for key incompatibility, I did a factory reset.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a connection issue with the SATEL Perfecta 16-WRL control panel, where the user encountered an "incorrect control panel key" error after modifying settings in Perfecta Soft. Despite successfully reading and uploading firmware, the key field remained empty. Various troubleshooting steps were attempted, including using JP1 for service mode, firmware upgrades and downgrades, and connecting from different computers. The consensus among forum members is that connecting a wired keypad is essential to retrieve the control panel key. Ultimately, a factory reset resolved the issue, as the control panel had randomly assigned a key that was not recognized by Perfecta Soft. It was noted that the key must be entered in uppercase letters, as case sensitivity affects recognition.
