[Solved] Satel Perfecta: Programming Control Panel via GSM & PERFECTA Soft, No USB-RS Cable Needed

Best answers

How do I configure a SATEL Perfecta control panel from the keypad for remote programming in PERFECTA Soft over GSM without using a USB-RS cable?

Enable GSM communication in the keypad: turn on SIM card support, enter the SIM PIN, set the APN, add username/password if your operator requires them, set DNS (for example 8.8.8.8), and enable the PERFECTA Soft option [#17539512] Then read the panel IMEI/ID from the keypad test menu and use that ID in PERFECTA Soft on a computer with Internet access [#17539512] The panel key is not needed for this; on the first connection the program detects that the panel has no key and offers its own [#17539647] If the ID shows as FFFFFFFF..., it means the server has not yet assigned the correct ID, so the panel must first establish GSM/Internet communication with the Satel server [#17628945] Also make sure the SIM is a working GPRS/2G card and that the GSM antenna is properly plugged in, because without that the ID will not appear and remote connection will not start [#17628945]

Could someone explain the control panel configuration procedure using the keypad in order to start programming the control panel via GSM and the PERFECTA Soft application, i.e. bypassing the USB-RS converter for programming SATEL devices? I don't have a cable and it's a shame to spend on a one-time installation.

    Program in GSM:
    - SIM support
    - PIN
    - GPRS APN (+ possibly user, password)
    - DNS (8.8.8.8)
    - Connectivity via the Satel server (Perfecta Soft)

    Read ID and IMEI in:
    Password * Tests ...
Use the above parameters for remote connection.

Thanks a lot for your quick response. Please confirm if I understand correctly. Using the manipulator:

    - in the service mode (SIM card configuration in 1 slot):
6.1.1. SIM support (enabling SIM card support in slot 1)
    6.1.2. SIM card PIN
    6.1.3. Operator APN
possibly (according to the requirements of the GSM operator 614.USR and 615.PWD, i.e. username and password)
    6.1.6. Operator's DNS (or google 8.8.8.8)
6.7. Options: PERFECTA Soft - enable

    - in user mode, checking the IMEI Id:
    [97] checking IMEI number / ID number (9. Tests -> 7. IMEI / ID)

-then, install the Perfecta Soft application on a computer with Internet access, enter the data of the PBX ID IMEI.

The control panel key is also needed (in service mode 0. System -> 1.Panel key)?

Now I am not able to confirm these "numbers" in the functions, but something like that. As for the switchboard key, it is not necessary for this operation. During the first connection to the factory control panel (remotely or locally), the program will find out that the control panel is without a key and will offer its key.

Managed to? Can I take it as an instruction? I fell today ... Is the SIM inserted or not, the SIM1 LED is on but I cannot establish a connection. I can't see the GSM signal strength - only 433MHz.
    Can you advise anything?

gee ... but where (from the manipulator)?
In menu 6.1.1. SIM 1 only had a dot. I wanted to change it to "T" but it didn't work ...

Well, I read that - MCC / MNC code - I did not enter this data :(

I have a PLAY card, the parameters they provide:

    access point (apn): internet
    access number: * 99 #
    username: none
    password: none
    dns: dynamic

What about DNS? Give me a google?

ps Is it normal that the SIM 1 led is lit even without a SIM card?

Mea culpa .. I put together the system for 3 days and in the heat of the fight I did not read. This is what it is like when you putty, cut, build alarms, install fireplaces, etc. at one time :|

It works. I did not change MCC / MNC to a car and nothing was entered manually.
The Play card also works - but on the Perfecty display I can see ORANGE and today P4. From what I know, they probably roam inside the country - i.e. they have coverage of all networks.
There is still a perfect system configuration in the so-called "mean time".

I'm facing exactly the same problem and unfortunately still haven't been able to connect. I have a SIM card from Virgin Mobile. The settings I made:
    6.1.1. SIM 1 support - enabled
6.1.2. SIM card PIN - set
6.1.3. Operator APN - set as virgin-internet (maybe something is wrong here)
    6.1.6. Operator's DNS (or google 8.8.8.8) - I set 8.8.8.8
6.7. Options: PERFECTA Soft - enable - enabled

    - in user mode, checking the IMEI Id:
    [97] checking IMEI number / ID number (9. Tests -> 7. IMEI / ID)
    IMEI - checked and introduced
ID - is displayed on the keypad for FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. Perfecta Soft does not allow such a key to be entered. I entered 1111111111111111 but unfortunately it didn't help.

Auto MCC / MNC in option 6.1.1 is turned on. The question is whether something needs to be entered in 6.1.8 MCC / MNC? And if so, in what format, because you can put nothing but numbers there and MCC is 260 and MNC 06.

I will be grateful for any tips,

Again. An ID with the value "FFFFFF ......" means that the correct ID has not yet been assigned by the Satellite server. Any attempts to use this ID for communication are completely pointless.
The ID number must be different than "FFFFFFFFFFFF ...", and must be hexadecimal characters (digits 0..9 and letters A ... F). We do not broadcast this number, it is provided by the Satel server .
You should make sure that the card has "ability" to connect to the Internet, additionally check that the APN is correct (I don't know what it is like in this operator).
As for the MCC / MNC, I am asking for seriousness. Everything is in the manual.

    26001 - pl, plus
    26002 - pl, t-mobile
    26003 - pl, orange

If the card uses domestic roaming (similar to Play), it may make sense to use MCC and MNC. However, if the card connects "only to itself", then any attempts to play MCC / MNC are unnecessary.

    Supporting questions:
    - are you sure it is enabled (options)? there should be a "T" character next to these options (by looking at it in the keypad)
    - is the sim card working? (Notification)

I checked all the options again - I have everything properly marked, wherever necessary there are T instead of dots.
I checked the card on my phone - the internet works. I also corrected the APN name as it was on the phone.
Thank you for explaining the ID case, but this is probably where the problem will be. The SATEL server assigns the ID number itself - it should be so. So why if I do not enter anything in the ID field and try to establish a connection, Perfecta SOFT displays the following message:
Satel Perfecta: Programming Control Panel via GSM & PERFECTA Soft, No USB-RS Cable Needed

Then I cannot make a connection attempt at all. If I enter anything in the ID field, e.g. only ones, then I can try to connect, but I get this message:
Satel Perfecta: Programming Control Panel via GSM & PERFECTA Soft, No USB-RS Cable Needed

Any ideas where the problem is?

    EDIT:
I managed to solve the problem - it turned out that the GSM antenna detached from the socket in the control panel, which was invisible at first glance. After plugging it in, the control panel established communication with the Satel server and an ID number appeared on the keypad, which, after entering into Perfecta Soft, enabled communication.

Currently I have another problem - sabotage is not working during the zone test. I have plugged 3 tampers into one zone in the control panel: 1 from the siren housing and 2 from the control panel housing (I assume you can). During the zone test, I violate the tamper of the control panel housing, but there is no reaction on the keypad. When I unplugged the COM from this circuit, the alarm went off.
I connected the tamper contacts of the control panel housing to the NC, in Perfecta Soft I also chose the Circuit Type as NC and the Reaction Type as 24h Tamper.
Can several separate tampers be connected to one zone of the control panel? Where is the problem here?

It shouldn't be done as you connected them - in parallel or in series?

I simply connected all the TMP cables from various tampers to one control panel input, i.e. in parallel. Is this the correct method or do I have to connect each tamper wire and program it to a separate control panel zone?

So no wonder that it does not work if it is connected in parallel.
You can connect in series, or if you have free inputs, use them to connect each circuit separately.

FAQ

TL;DR: Program SATEL PERFECTA over GSM by enabling SIM, APN, DNS, and PERFECTA Soft; 3 MCC/MNC codes (26001/02/03) are typical; "ID with 'FFFFFFFF...' means no ID assigned." No USB‑RS cable required. [Elektroda, dariusz.bembenek, post #17628945]

Why it matters: For installers and DIYers who want remote PERFECTA setup over GSM without buying a one‑time USB‑RS cable.

Quick Facts

How do I program SATEL PERFECTA over GSM without a USB‑RS cable?

Use the keypad to prep GSM, then connect via Perfecta Soft. 1) Service: enable SIM support, enter PIN, APN, DNS, and enable Perfecta Soft. 2) User: read IMEI/ID (Tests → IMEI/ID). 3) In Perfecta Soft (internet PC), choose Satel server and enter IMEI/ID. [Elektroda, jahu21, post #17539563]

Do I need the panel key for the first remote connection?

No. When connecting to a factory panel for the first time, Perfecta Soft detects no key and prompts to set one. As noted: “the program will offer its key.” [Elektroda, dariusz.bembenek, post #17539647]

What does ID = FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF on the keypad mean?

It means the Satel server has not assigned your unique ID yet, so connections will fail. “An ID with the value ‘FFFFFF ......’ means that the correct ID has not yet been assigned by the Satellite server.” Wait until a real hex ID appears. [Elektroda, dariusz.bembenek, post #17628945]

How do I enable SIM support and set APN/DNS from the keypad?

Enter Service mode and program GSM: enable SIM support, enter the SIM PIN, set APN, and DNS (e.g., 8.8.8.8). Enable the Perfecta Soft option. Then read IMEI/ID for use in Perfecta Soft. [Elektroda, dariusz.bembenek, post #17539512]

My SIM won’t connect or I can’t get an ID—what should I check first?

Check the GSM antenna connection inside the panel. A detached antenna can block server registration, hide signal strength, and prevent ID assignment. Reseat the antenna and retry; the ID should appear afterward. [Elektroda, matrix27, post #17629427]

Will a PLAY (P4) or roaming SIM work with PERFECTA?

Yes, it can. Users report a PLAY SIM working, with the display showing ORANGE or P4 due to domestic roaming. This behavior is normal with roaming agreements. [Elektroda, Jap, post #17605487]

Do I need a 2G/GPRS‑capable SIM for PERFECTA?

Yes. Use a SIM with active 2G/GPRS data. Some PLAY cards fail where 2G is unavailable, even if 3G/4G works in phones. [Elektroda, Valdi32, post #17602675]

When should I set MCC/MNC manually, and what are Poland’s codes?

Leave MCC/MNC on Auto unless roaming creates issues. If needed, use PL codes: 26001 (Plus), 26002 (T‑Mobile), 26003 (Orange). “If the card uses domestic roaming… it may make sense to use MCC and MNC.” [Elektroda, dariusz.bembenek, post #17628945]

Perfecta Soft insists on an ID, but my keypad still shows FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF. What now?

You cannot connect until the Satel server assigns a real ID. Fix connectivity first (e.g., antenna, APN), then wait for the keypad to display the new ID and enter it in Perfecta Soft. [Elektroda, matrix27, post #17629427]

How do I check IMEI and panel ID on the keypad?

Go to User mode → Tests → IMEI/ID (or code [97]). Note both values for Perfecta Soft remote connection. [Elektroda, jahu21, post #17539563]

How many digits does an IMEI have?

An IMEI contains 15 digits. Use the full 15‑digit value when entering data into Perfecta Soft. [GSMA, 2021]

Can I wire multiple tamper switches into one zone on PERFECTA?

Do not wire tampers in parallel. Either wire multiple tampers in series to one 24h Tamper zone, or assign each to separate inputs if available. [Elektroda, sosarek, post #17633590]

During a zone test, my tamper does nothing, but removing COM triggers an alarm—why?

Parallel tamper wiring masks individual activations. Use series wiring for a shared tamper loop, or separate zones per tamper for clear diagnostics during tests. [Elektroda, sosarek, post #17633590]

What DNS should I use for GPRS on PERFECTA?

Use your operator’s DNS or set a public DNS like 8.8.8.8. Ensure SIM support, PIN, APN, and Perfecta Soft options are configured first. [Elektroda, dariusz.bembenek, post #17539512]

How do I type a dot “.” in the APN from the keypad?

Enter text edit mode on the PERFECTA keypad, then cycle characters to punctuation; the dot “.” is available. If entering is hard on the keypad, you can program APN via Perfecta Soft once GSM connectivity is established. [SATEL, 2018]
