In a sense, you answer yourself for the first control; too low pressure in the pneumatic system of the semi-trailer, the next is the parking brake indicator (hand). The last one informs about the failure of one of the brake pad wear sensors and ABS also lit up.

The one with the arrow is the engine brake - right lever under the steering wheel. Move the levers forward and the indicator light will go out.

Yes, it's a motor brake. It may be a lever under the steering wheel or it may be a malfunction. In any case, it should not hiss when adding gas (closed flap on the exhaust and the hissing flue gas passing through a small hole in the flap). You can drive provided that the tie rod is disconnected from the flap and locked in the open position. Of course, this is not a repair but a makeshift so as not to burn the fuel.

Don't you have EBS with EA2000 Knorr single channel modulators in this car? If so, the one on the first photo lights up as there are some anomalies in the operation of EBS and can be yellow or red. The one that glows yellow in the photo suggests a malfunction on the rear axle, and next to it is dimmed, which should refer to the front axle. The problem is, it doesn't always work that way. In ATEGO 2 and AXORZE 2, the BS symbol lights up in the display (including the yellow one).
Personally, I met this on vehicles with MB with EBS several times and the EA2000 modulator or rear brake cylinder were to blame, although there may be other reasons. Computer + pressure gauges should help, but you should not limit this computer to reading fault codes.

Still a small addition. I was not bothered by what I wrote that these controls do not always work as it seems.
I asked a colleague with whom we rummage along with the cars if he remembers the lighted one with the back of the vehicle (we do with MB that walk solo) and he did not remember, and the failures were on the front and rear axles. So it turns out that what lights up may indicate the ABS / EBS trailer malfunction.

Gentlemen, for the sake of clarification:
The first light that is on and the light to the left of it ONLY apply to air pressure in the tractor and trailer circuits, can they also apply to other errors? Well, in my case, the first one on the left is lit (not here), but the pressure on the clocks for both circuits is identical and exceeds 10 atmospheres. Could this indicator light in other cases? I have lining wear sensor errors and ABS for the rear axle. Can they also cause this indicator error, or only the BS message on the display?

Thanks for willing to answer, but you totally didn't answer the question. The question is: When do these two lights come on?

    In my case:
The indicator light is on when the fault relates to the vehicle's braking system. It's not about "front - back".

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around troubleshooting issues related to the orange control symbols on a Mercedes AXOR 1843 truck. The first symbol indicates low air pressure in the pneumatic system, while the second symbol, featuring an arrow and a dash, relates to the engine brake. Users report a hissing sound occurring every five seconds when accelerating, which is linked to the engine brake lever position. Solutions include adjusting the engine brake lever to eliminate the hissing. Additionally, concerns about the ABS warning light are raised, suggesting potential issues with the semi-trailer or brake pad wear sensors. Users emphasize the importance of checking the braking system and air pressure in both tractor and trailer circuits to diagnose the problem accurately.
