Is it possible to use only one antenna for a router with two external antenna inputs (with a modem, e.g. B-315, B-525, B-593) - connected to one of the inputs?

Of course there is only why one? What technology do you want to use and on what band? LTE works in MIMO2x2 and to take full advantage of its capabilities, two or dual antennas are used.

The directional antenna has already been purchased and the coaxial cable has been installed in the thermal insulation. Laying the second wire is very difficult.

The router would be used to transmit the monitoring signal, but it would be good if you could also use WiFi (so LTE would be most useful)

And what is the antenna and what coaxial cable? What router, operator, signal parameters, location? What monitoring, recorder, cameras? UL is important in monitoring, and the latter is definitely better on LTE and MIMO2x2.

antenna - external type panel antenna tsunami
    cable: RG 58
monitoring: based on the ACTIO AC5704 recorder

I have to choose a router because the one that was damaged (TP Link MR 3420).

    I am thinking of routers with a built-in modem (e.g. B-315, B-525, B-593).

What do you think about it ?

This is not a panel antenna, but a logarithmic-periodic Chinese style, and its gain is a finger tip. But this is a poverty field, because only the cable is a curiosity, the high-loss RG58 is practically not suitable for frequencies above 1GHz. On LTE1800-LTE2600 it has a massively high attenuation. Draw your conclusions yourself, and additionally a recorder from a different era. You have not written anything about the location, operator, range or public address with external access because the recorder does not work P2P (in the cloud).

A long time has passed since the first start.

Therefore, this and no other recorder.

What can be done during this time without falling into costs and replacing the whole thing?

And you used the Internet view from this recorder with the MR-3420 and some USB modem, did you have a private IP address with external access? As for the equipment, I will say about internet access, i.e. LTE router and antenna for it, but this is after the answers to the question about the location, operator and offer, and its tests in this location. For monitoring, I recommend recorders with P2P, the manufacturer's cloud, the viewing of which via the Internet does not require public IP with external access. It is a standard today, especially when we use a mobile operator that blocks traffic initiated from the outside. Alternatively, choosing an operator that offers such an address, i.e. Plus, Orange for individuals, Plus, Orange and T-Mobile for companies. Of course, additionally paid.

You can access the recorder via a VPN, but it requires a bit more setup (though it's not that difficult). You can also use the Ivideon cloud, which is very simple, but requires a computer that is always on. Antenna and cable ... replacement.

    Yes, I used this preview.

I would like to ask for suggestions as to the best choice of router / modem and possibly antenna system for your recorder, with the possibility of changing it in the future.

Without specifying the location, it is difficult for the operator to further advise the selection of the antenna and router. Operators use different LTE bands, I don't know what it looks like with you. The lack of signal tests is also not conducive to antenna selection. This is the necessary minimum.

The operator at the moment is Orange. However, it would be good if in the future it was possible to change the operator.

Maybe there is a universal solution (proposal).

Location is the basis because Orange uses LTE2600, LTE1800, LTE800 an now and LTE2100. This will allow you to check what BTS Networks and LTE bands are nearby. Also other operators.

This location has LTE coverage in Orange. There is BTS Networks in Goraj, LTE800 T-Mobile works on it and Orange has a license for LTE800 there and it probably works, but it must be confirmed. LTE1800NetWorks and LTE800 T-Mobile and aggregation of these bands are in operation in Przytoczna and Łubikowo. It is possible that LTE800 Orange also works. do the Orange test on the LTE phone with the Orange card and the Network Cell Info application, show the DATA tab. Do speedtest. Indoor and outdoor test. The application will show eNB, ECI BTS and signal parameters. it is possible that LTE800 from Goraj will work without an antenna. An alternative to Orange is T-Mobile or Plus from Przytoczna or Lubikowo.

Weak offer, no equipment. Why load into something like this? On Allegro you can buy a card with 300GB for six months for PLN 90. You can still use these methods, you need to buy an Orange YES starter for PLN 5, register and provide your address details in the salon and marketing consents. Then change the tariff to Orange Free for which you get a 50GB bonus for 2 weeks, use it and then run another bonus on Orange FREE, i.e. 100GB for marketing consents and address details. In this way, for PLN 5, we have 150 GB of internet for 45 days. If we do not find Orange FREE, we only use 100GB for 30 days for PLN 50. As long as the offer works, you can use other cards using these myki. Next to RBM pre-paid with RWK and DIL, it is the cheapest way to access mobile internet without a subscription. A subscription with equipment in T-Mobile and no limit beats such subscription offers for PLN 19 per head. The cost is PLN 49 for DL up to 20 Mb / s, but the subscription includes PLN 20 for a router with LTE-A B525. Coverage as in Orange. And there is still free LTE Internet with no limit for RBM on Card 5 on the LTE Play network, cost 5-15 PLN. Range from Play BS to ZEC Wołomin, 4 LTE bands with aggregation. When it comes to coverage, you live under BTS NetWorks with LTE2600, LTE1800 and LTE800 and with their aggregation and minimum is a router with LTE-A 6 category aggregating two bands, B525, E5186. You can buy B715 with LTE2600 + 1800 + 800 aggregation for about PLN 500. No antenna needed for Orange, T-Mobile. The signal parameters on the LTE phone are correct.

All in all, I will buy a Tmobile card and check the BTS load, so far I have only checked the plus - BTS terribly loaded with UL several times larger than DL, play - it does not catch LTE even on the roof, orange - as above.
Another question about the B525 and B715 - the difference is felt? what row? mainly I mean profit on ping, because only I need to play.

You have about 3 km to BTS Play, so without an external antenna it is difficult to get an effective connection. Only the T-Mobile Strong LTE starter has no DL / UL limits. As for the B525 and B715, the latter aggregates three LTE bands and this is the fundamental difference. On BTS Duczki are LTE2600, LTE1800 and LTE800 and their aggregation. You will use it on B715, of course, also from the aggregation of two bands or a single one. On B525 only with LTE2600 + 1800, LTE2600 + 800 and LTE1800 + 800 and single band. HManager is used to manage the bands on them. As for ping, it is usually the lowest on a single band.

I bought the b715 and hope it pays off, it will probably come next week. I tested T Mobile a bit worse than Orange. I talked with friends from the area about what they have the unlimited 60 mb / s in Tmobile and they advised me against it, apparently even though there is no big BTS load, they have not yet reached 200 gb because they are throwing it into the funnel, in the Tmobile agreement it is said that they can do it in any moment without consequences, also it looks like "no limit lte" still does not exist. At the beginning, I will probably buy an orange starter and try to get the 150gb for PLN 5, but ultimately probably 50gb for PLN 19 for a contract or 250gb for PLN 70, or 2x 50gb for PLN 19 because the girl also has a cell phone charge in orange and can take cheaper, it all depends on what will be consumption in the first month. Thanks again for your help.

There are no funnels in this offer at T-Mobile. There's a speed limit of 20 or 60. They have a different offer or are bullshit talking.

There are funnels, but they have a different name, "Web Traffic Management", I should have chosen the words better
In other words, they have unlimited home internet up to 60mb / s, I talked to two of them and they both found that the internet calls even though they have normal internet after checking on the phone from another card to abo, i.e. "network traffic management" works
On this basis, they can block you, slow down or give priority to you, below is a quote from the regulations:
"The Operator uses traffic management measures in the Network,
whose aim is to support its effective
use and optimization of the overall quality of the service
telecommunications services provided with the use of
Network to all its subscribers, including broadcast services
data within the mobile and fixed Internet
(hereinafter "data transmission service" ;) . These measures prevent
    reaching or exceeding the capacity
shared link and are necessary for proper
providing telecommunications services on the Web by
Operator to all its subscribers. Means
Network traffic management shall be non-discriminatory and
based on objective differences in requirements
regarding the technical quality of services in the field
specific categories of traffic. They do not
negatively on the privacy of end users, w
including the protection of their personal data. By means
    traffic management is automatic: blocking,
slowing down and prioritization. Prioritization is about
on giving priority to certain categories
Web traffic, the quality of which is particularly at risk
or categories of traffic particularly sensitive to decline
quality. Traffic categories are e.g. voice calls,
mobile services, fixed-line services, broadcast service
    data, video streaming (videostreaming),
data download. The result of prioritization
certain categories of traffic may be, inter alia, deterioration
quality of services / and in terms of traffic category not covered
    priority (e.g. video streaming -
    videostreamingu) - felt by users
end points temporarily, incidentally or periodically.
At the same time, however, thanks to the use of this measure
The operator will maintain the quality guaranteed by the contracts
another service that is used by the same or others
end users on its Network. Use
prioritization does not violate the provisions of the Agreement, incl
the level of Service quality guaranteed by it
Telecommunications, which also applies to services
    not covered by priority. "

All operators have such records. Friends have no idea what they bought and how to get normal LTE speeds. Their 'advice' is meaningless, so it's best not to listen to them.

    Added after 2 [minutes]:

Friends are the last people who can advise on choosing an Internet operator. Their knowledge of it is zero, their subjective feelings are irrelevant. 99% of them want to achieve 60Mb / s without ensuring the appropriate signal parameters, forcing specific LTE bands and aggregation, and without using an external antenna and directing it to the base station ensuring the best speeds. Often, without meeting these conditions, the Internet and each operator works as if it were on an eternal funnel. Possibly the problem is a clogged BTS and then there is a problem. In the case of Orange, a technical funnel is used, if you download a lot of data from the machine at once, you will be cut to 10Mb / s by the end of the day. Then the speeds come back. The offer is more than twice as expensive and much worse. In T-Mobile, no limit costs PLN 29 / month for DL up to 20Mb / s and PLN 45 / month, up to 60Mb / s. in Orange, the limited offer costs PLN 70 per month and the speed guarantee is the same as in T-Mobile, i.e. none. RŚUT Orange also includes provisions on the protection of network integrity, as with all mobile operators. 50GB offers for PLN 19 can be forgotten if the card is cheaper.

There is no mistake, we compare the costs of T-Mobile and Orange subscriptions. in Orange we have for PLN 70 250GB + beyond the limit nights, price without hardware. The MF286 router costs an additional PLN 22 / month, i.e. with hardware PLN 92 / month. In T-mobile, unlimited home internet, the subscription is counted together with the installment for B525 in the amount of PLN 20 / month. We pay PLN 49 / month, including PLN 20 in it, it is an installment for the equipment, i.e. the Internet service without equipment costs only PLN 29 / month. Similarly, in the offer with DL 60Mb / s for PLN 65, here, after deducting the installment for the router, we have PLN 45 / month. So we compare the amount of PLN 70 with PLN 29 or PLN 45. As you can see, the T-mobile offer beats Orange. Of course, we always precede the selection of a specific operator with a test in a specific location.

It costs so much without the equipment, the offer itself. It is impossible to take it without the equipment (or I don't know something), but it is much cheaper than in Orange - 49 or 65 compared to PLN 92.

Will it be possible in T mobile to take home internet without equipment? if so, how, because it is impossible through the net.
Today, the b715 router came, so far everything is fine, even the box has not been opened, the warranty from June 26, at home I will check if everything works fine, at the beginning I will take this orange card, but I do not know if YES or FREE is right away, YES is in any restrictions on DL / UL? because I read that the transition from YES to FREE now takes about 24 hours and I do not know if the 50 gb bonus is still there.

Edit: is there any program like Hmanager for windows for B715?

Topic summary

The discussion centers around the feasibility of using a single antenna with dual-input routers, specifically the B-315, B-525, and B-593 models. Users express concerns about the practicality of this setup, particularly when only one antenna is available due to installation difficulties. The conversation highlights the importance of antenna type, coaxial cable quality, and the specific LTE bands used by the operator, Orange. Recommendations include testing signal strength and considering alternative operators for better performance. The need for a suitable router and antenna system for monitoring applications is emphasized, with suggestions for future-proofing the setup.
