I changed my computer to (supposedly) better. In the previous one, in order to have digital audio on the DVI and HDMI outputs, I had to connect the cable from the sound card (SPDIF) to the motherboard with the audio circuit. Unfortunately, in my current computer I have an nVidia Quadro 2000 graphics card without an SPDIF input. Additionally, the disc's audio chip does not provide digital audio in any form - there is no SPDIF connector and no digital output. Probably the only way out of the situation is to replace the graphics card with one with SPDIF input and install a sound card with SPDIF output. Are there other options as well? Can the graphics card get digital audio through its main connector? After all, digital audio flies after the record somewhere ;) What is the easiest way to configure it so that in addition to the image, sound is also sent via DVI and HDMI?

Currently, cards do not need an external signal source anymore because they have their own audio codec. Check in "Playback devices" if there is another sound receiver besides the speakers. What is your operating system?

Well, while in the previous computer I had the option to switch the sound to speakers or digital output (then it was sent via HDMI), now I only have analog output to the speakers (in playback devices and in Realtek HD Audio). Windows 10 Home.

Are the drivers for the card installed? The datasheet says that the sound should go through HDMI.

What datasheet? Since Quadro 2000? The drivers are installed.

So he went. I reinstalled the card drivers and Realtek HD Audio, TV appeared in the audio output options in addition to the speakers. After switching, it works. Thanks :)

This is another question - I have a TV on a DVI-HDMI cable and a monitor on DisplayPort. The problem is that if there is a device plugged in in both sockets, the DVI socket has higher priority when starting the computer. The effect of this is that the computer boots the BIOS on the TV instead of the monitor. Only Windows starts the monitor. Is it possible to configure the card so that the DisplayPort socket has higher priority?
