    Hello,
The contract is coming to an end with Orange, where for PLN 69.14 / month I have a 10Mbps neostrada on a telephone cable + TP LINK adsl router ... In the meantime, I got a 100GB / month card for the contract signed in PLAY. I would like to try to put it in a modem, buy a router and use WIFI in the apartment. A 3-room flat, about 70 sq m, in Ursynów, Warsaw.
How do you see it Will be better? Certainly cheaper :) The question is what equipment would you recommend: a router with usb + separate modem or a router with a built-in modem? The first option has the advantage that I can take the modem for a trip. What specific model would you recommend in a good value for money?
Is there sense to do a test and insert this SIM card into the phone and see how it will go using HotSpot?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Sure there is sense and even necessity. The card in the LTE phone with the Network Cell Info application and you show the DATA tab, plus a speedtest.

Ok, in the evening I will do the TEST and let you know :)

Added after 4 [hours] 44 [minutes]:

I put the SIM card into the phone and I have the following results:
Best Modem/Router for LTE Play: USB vs Built-In Modem, Recommendations & HotSpot Test in Ursynów Best Modem/Router for LTE Play: USB vs Built-In Modem, Recommendations & HotSpot Test in Ursynów

    Speedtest.pl gives 43Mb / s, speedtest.pl on another phone (making the network available via hotspot) gives 25Mb / s.
Neostrada gives 10Mbps so the change should be for the better? :) Question from the first post: what to buy?

    I found such a BTS:

Should I look for a modem that supports the 2600 band now? Isn't it that modems support all frequencies depending on the city? They are mobile after all :) Is this information from the application for any other purpose?

It's BTS Nowoursynowska 154A and LTE2600 from it, signal sufficient, nice SINR and unloaded bandwidth. On LTE1800 and LTE2100 the signal should be a little better. Aggregation of LTE bands worked on BTS. The minimum is a stationary router with LTE-A 6 cat. I.e. aggregates two LTE bands, e.g. B525, E5186 and LTE2600 + 1800 aggregation. More expensive B715 with aggregation of 3 LTE bands including LTE2600 + 1800 + 800. from mobile 3 LTE bands including LTE2600 + 2100 + 1800 aggregates MF980 but I do not recommend such routers for 24/7 operation as a home router. Signal parameters at home are quite poor, an external antenna is needed to improve them.

    Thanks for the hints!

    I found such routers:
    B525:

    E5186 without antennas:

    E5186 with antennas:
    https://allegro.pl/router-huawei-e5186-lte-bramka-gsm-usb-2x-antena-i7221938867.html

B525 is reportedly newer? Which one do you recommend? Do these two antennas give something?

There are also reportedly cheaper versions of the T-Mobile B525. Will I find somewhere such a modem with FV23%?

Yes B525 is newer and aggregates with the LTE2100 band. B525 unbranded or from Plus, Play. Those from T-Mobile not worth the attention. search in Lombards, maybe you'll get FV then.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around selecting the best modem/router for using an LTE SIM card from PLAY in a 3-room apartment in Ursynów, Warsaw. The user is transitioning from a traditional ADSL connection and has conducted initial speed tests using a mobile phone, achieving speeds of 43 Mbps and 25 Mbps via hotspot. Recommendations include considering a stationary router with LTE-A capabilities, such as the Huawei B525 or E5186, which support multiple LTE bands for better performance. The B525 is noted as a newer model that aggregates LTE2100, while the E5186 can come with or without external antennas. The importance of external antennas for improved signal quality is also highlighted, along with the suggestion to check for unbranded or less expensive versions of the B525.
